What do these people have to do to make you happy?

Prescott set the passing TD record for the team, throws for 5 for his first time and he looked comfortable and sharp. His WR's were making the catches for him.

Elliott was a hammer tonight and went after that 1000 yard mark with tenacity.

Moore called a good game, had 29 rushes and they scored 51 and will lead the NFL in scoring.

And yet, the negative comments keep coming about these 3 specifically when they took care of business and swept the East for the first time in 26 years with a ridiculous point differential.

Have you conditioned yourself to just not be happy with them no matter what they do?

They were not in control of who PHL put out there against them tonight, they were only in control of what they knew that had to accomplish to get some confidence back.

McC and his staff got the players to play with fire in their belly, to get their offensive swagger back and go into this first playoff game on an upswing and feeling good about their team.

Man, I swear, some of you would hammer them if they won it all with "well that's fine but what are they doing next year"?

I watched this game tonight with one goal in mind, get my belief back, get that mojo back that I feel they will win this first game whoever they play. I got that so I can't be negative about anything they did, they surprised me with being ready to play that game and it didn't matter who was on the field against them.

Note: This is my thread as a poster and has nothing to do with being a mod.

Grab happy when it presents itself and hanging 51 on Philly in Philly should make us all happy. Sweeping the East should make us all happy. You deserve to be happy, take it if only for a week.

The answer to your question? Playoff success beyond the divisional round. This fan base used to be accustomed to it but now it's starving for it.

Until that happens "yeah, but" will be the mantra as it's been for years.

To me this game was no different from the wash game, and then they lose to arizona the next game.
So fans are waiting to see how they do against the better playoff teams, excluding SF and PHIL, and even Ariz is a ? mark .

The only decent teams this year are the div winners, and even they dont seem consistently good.
GB has been the most consistent, and they have the best record, and I think Rodgers wants to end his career in GB with a SB win.
Possible more than in the past.

Nothing wrong with being skeptical about the cowboys and how they will do in playoffs against the better teams.

And this last game was really meaningless as to how they will do in playoffs.
I think the coaching staff disagrees with that.

I'm elated to beat the eagles at their house especially by such a large margin that said the defense still cannot stop the run and this is a concern going into the playoffs

Not being able to stop a second string running game with your first string defense does not inspire confidence.

Teams with any kind of a running game expose this defense in a really bad way they take away our ability to get turnovers because teams that can run don't need to pass as much and that negates our pass rush which is where our turnover stem from

What game were you watching?

th

50% of all playoff teams will LOSE each round.
When the above trophy is awarded, 99.96785% of ALL TEAMS in the NFL will have "lost."

You've had a lot of disappointment in your life, haven't ya, brother?

Not perceptive enough to understand your point. Perhaps it was because the post I was quoting left out - "What will it take to make you happy?" A poster obviously indicated that only a SB trophy will suffice. I simply listed the mathematical facts as to that occurrence. If that what it takes, I don't know why folks watch at all .. You certainly wouldn't go to the casino with those odds .. would you? :flagwave:

Everyone who posts that only a Super Bowl would make them happy means they are not happy at all without a Cowboy’s championship. Lol.

The odds that I get free rooms, food, and drink at the casino are 100%

This is a recipe for constant misery.

Nope. To me watching them lose for 25 years straight without even a hint of another SB is miserable. Now I demand excellence. Tom Brady demands excellence of himself. That is why he has won so much. Why can't our team do that as well?

To 'CouchCoach' - as a long lifetime Dallas Cowboys Fan - I am very, very happy the team won the division and thus qualified for the playoffs (after a three-year absence - punctuated by that putrid performance by the defense.
Let's get behind this team for its resurgence - and watch to see if they put it together to win the League Championship.

Coach, one can be happy and still have honest concerns at the same time

the day my personal happiness depends on a players performance will be the day I stop watching them

I would also add that some people here are dependent on a utopian group-think atmosphere where everyone is free of critiques…….the diversity of opinion in this forum is what makes it the best sports message board around…….
shabby, I wasn't referring to happiness overall but with aspects of the team.

My bad....I thought you were also referring to people’s personal happiness or lack thereof transferring to opinions on the players

What are you talking about? The title of this thread is "What do these people have to do to make you happy?"

Winning the Super Bowl is the standard in Dallas. That is what would make me happy.

Bold and oversize anything you want, I didn't say a word about losing you did.
