What do you guys think about this?

He didn't commit a crime and he's not in hot water. You're playing too many what if propositions throughout to prop up how you feel about what's obviously in play. In the end, the department might give mouth honor to a hand-slapping and he will go on about his business. He didn't do anything wrong, you just don't like it. There's a difference.

I had a problem with him punching her in the face I didn't like the way he handled it. He's damn lucky he didn't get attacked by everyone that was watching. A simple jaywalking situation could have led to people being seriously injured and killed. The Seattle police have a bad reputation this nothing new.

That situation could have escalated into a tragic situation. There were alot of people standing around yelling at that cop after he punched her and it's a wonder all hell didn't break out. Some dudes could have come up and attacked that officer and grabbed his gun. Once he saw he was having trouble handling that girl he should have stepped away and called for backup. It's obvious he needed some help.

No doubt about it, evidently they do not give a rats ars about the police and think they can do and treat the cop anyway they want and the cop is suppose to just take it.

You guys need to visit California. Or stop believing what you see in the moving pictures.

Anyone who doesn't agree where I'm coming from on this what would your thoughts be had she struck her head on a car or the payment after he punched her and she died serves her right?

KJJ: you see the slippery slope your on here, right? And understand the difference between force and excessive force and murder, don't you?

The woman shoved the officer when he was trying to make an arrest so she doesn’t really have any case against the officer. Case closed.

What that cop did was excessive in my opinion and could have caused several in the crowed that was gathering to jump him.

Is this your institution of higher learning?

It was. It's a very good school. I went to both so I know.

It's a very well run school from top to bottom.

It shows me why I think cops need more education and training. He should not have hit her in the face. Grabbed her, restrained her to cuff her... maybe. But he shouldn't have hit her.

He was ignorant. That's why the police prefer college grads. They're more well-rounded. That being said, however, I'm not losing any sleep over it.

Talking to a buddy from Washington and I guess the video being shown is only a small clip of the whole video.

Also told me that a lot of the locals are saying she's lucky to not be dead. Guess they have had like 8-9 cops die in the line of duty in the last 6 months.

Here she would have gotten cuffed off camera and beaten.

I know.

He lost his cool.

That can happen when you put your hands on someone else like she did.

except he is allegedly trained NOT to react the way he did. What would his reaction have been if he saw her doing that to a normal guy and the normal guy just pounded her one. Cop would have arrested him.

Only he was allegedly trained to react exactly the way that he did. Or to react the way that he did faster.

And *of course* a normal guy would be arrested for pounding someone. What has that got to do with what an officer does in the course of being assaulted while someone is resisting arrest?

She shoved him.

Big mistake.
