I picked my name the first year that we got a home PC and discovered ESPN message boards. It was the year that the Skins signed Deion, Bruce Smith, yadda, yadda, yadda and EVERY Cowboys board was being bombarded by Foreskin fans claiming their SuperBowl victory in April (sound familiar?). Anyway, I wasn't very clever with my 1st board name due to my lack of internet savvy (my 1st username was randyscowboys on ESPN boards). After being around for awhile I decided my name was a little too boring, so I started posting at another Cowboys message board site on the Rivals system called Silver Star. When I got there and saw that the Foreskin faithful posts were outnumbering Cowboys fans post I decided to pick a username that would immediately offend them (regardless of the posts content).

It had a dual meaning though, at the time a group of guys at work and I would have a weekly 9 hole skins game every Thursday. So the name also meant stealing "skins" from my buddies.

I remember a lot of posters from those days (and various boards) that I still see around once in a while: holeintheroof, Schmoopy, TwoDeep, Carphalen, Poetree, and Hostile to name a few.

For those who care....

Vintage is derived because I love watching vintage Michael Jordan stuff.

My parents were born and raised in Illinois. My dad is a Bulls fan. I was raised as one. So my username is sort of tribute to Michael Jordan.

My first ever message board username was Thrilla. If anyone ever posted at nbadraft.net around the 2001-era, maybe they recognize my name. When that board went to crap after it was mentioned in Slam Magazine, I migrated over to Basketballboards.net and used the same handle for awhile. Then I came up with the handle Vintage and created that. I use it over there still and here, and at the Cowboys.Scout page (and the Falcons.scout and Saints.scout page). I still am registered at JustBBall.com under that name but I haven't posted there in forever.

So while I am young (21), I have been around internet message boards for the past 6 or so years....

I am trying to remember how I found this site though....Google maybe?

I use to post there.

Anyways, DangerDoom is the music collaboration of ** Doom and Danger Mouse. I just thought it was a cool name.

the "4124" is the combination of the numbers of my two favorite Cowboy players. (T-New and MBIII)

I have a cousin around the same age. Both our names start with the letter B, and when we were kids, the family referred to us as the "BB Boys." Then my older siblings dubbed me "BBgun," which is preferable to "you'll shoot your eye out."

My name is in honor of the greatest and dumbest mascot in all of sports.

And, of course, "Mavs Man" was already taken (???) . . .

When we drafted Witten, ESPN was running clips of him from Tennessee. He was rumbling up field and just destroyed this guy trying to tackle him. I called him Hard Hittin' Witten, and he is one of my favorite current Cowboys.
