The biggest hit to the Jones family would be not raising your kids to love the Cowboys. I'm beyond help at this point, but my 10 yr old who loves them is slowing starting to show cracks in the fandom armor. I could see him changing teams at some point....

As fans, we always talk about the need for change and the reality that Jerry Jones will never change unless he feels a devaluation to his 10B asset, a slowing of its growth or some other metric that he monitors. That being the case, I pose the question as to what you have done over the past couple of years to spend less, watch less, impact, etc. as a fan....

For Me

- No new Jersey - Have not bought a new Jersey in over 5 years, kids are simply handing theirs down and I have only bought 1 new childs jersey in the last 2 seasons for my 10 year old

- No Sunday Ticket - Did not pay for Sunday ticket this year (first time ever)

- Not going to a local game - Not going to my local game this year (Charlotte vs Dallas) - I am not wasting money to watch two of the worst teams in the NFL

- Have bypassed watching 2 games so far this year on local tv

Reality is that its going to take an army of fans to finally have had enough, tune out, stop buying things and show enough disinterest to get the financial message across and even then it still might not be enough to change the approach.

What have you give up / changed / done?
It's been about 5 years since I have purchased anything. I haven't missed a game in a long time. However, I only watched a few minutes of last week's game and I went to bed. I work early and the day after is always rough because it takes me forever to fall asleep after the game because I have been so invested in it. Last week, I went to bed and woke up feeling great.

This Sunday, if we have plans, I will miss the game. If we lose, it doesn't matter who played poorly because in the end it all goes back to Jerry but nothing changes. If we win, Jerry will use that to validate his "leadership" and nothing will change. It will never happen but I'd like to see a day where the Jones family no longer has this team.

I will not spend one cent on the Dallas Cowboys. Only way to make things change is stop the money to Jerry’s pockets AND fans really crank up the pressure and stop believing what this buffoon is selling us! It needs to get nasty between the Jones and the fans/media
Ditto. Jerry is not getting the one penny from me.

My waning passion started a few years ago. Over that time, I have sold my PSLs and now I don't even make an effort to watch the games on television. There was a time not too long ago that Cowboys games were the #1 priority (outside of Family) and now they don't even move the needle for me. I have a serious case of Jerry fatigue and feel no connection with the current roster or coaching staff.

The Cowboys are still my team, but that really isn't saying much considering my low level of enthusiasm for them when they are playing.

Fans seem to be dropping like flies.

The 5-6 usual suspects around here can say what they like, but there’s a down cycle coming, and we are probably already in it.

That is understandable and excusable since the system is set up that way.

HOWEVER, the lack of understanding that the last three years were the opportunity to actually win is the real crime. Refusal to make the moves to get over the top so as to think they can beat the system and always be “relevant” is why this will never work.

The FO just doesn’t get it, and the full conflict of interest with the need to sell their product and be the center of attention is impossible for any coaching staff to overcome.

Oh ummm…to stay on topic I no longer buy merchandise lol.

I don't even watch the games any longer and haven't for several seasons. I'll check on ESPN for the scores a few times and maybe pop in here to see the active game thread for a few updates, but short of that not at all any longer.
This team hasn't been fun in a long time and I don't see that changing anytime in the foreseeable future.

I try to get fans to act on their indifference to this circus and to stop hanging on to the hope that the Cowboys we once loved will appear again.
I try to simply state the facts, and let the fans acknowledge what their eyes are seeing. The disrespect Jerry has shown the fans is off the charts, and I try get fans to react to that by pointing out the obvious.
Jerry has taken the fans for granted and doesn't deserve them.

As long as you’re still reading and posting on this board you haven’t lost all interest in the team. I’ll never reach the level of disinterest you claim you’re at.

Haven’t bought any Cowboys gear in probably 5 years. I like you passed up on the local game last year vs the Panthers. Ain’t going this year as well.
I still have the ticket but honestly it’s not exclusively for the Cowboys games. I haven’t missed any games but I did turn off the game against the Lions and 49ers. My fandom is at an all time low and have come to the realization that they will probably never make it to the SB in the next 20 years.

However, I don’t think this machine will ever slow down…..

I currently watch the Cowboys to laugh at how badly Dak Prescott plays. This is compounded by his immobility and lack of a running game. The guy has been and continues to be a progress stopper. Once the team eventually moves in from him then I can focus on the team actually being relevant again.
