Who claimed he was playing chess? In no way shape or form, is Jerry playing 4D chess.
This team is what we were pre-Parcells. This is going to be bad.

As I recall. After those heels were clicked in Kansas, it was a good ending.Sounds like the Plan for Chokota. Click your heels and pray your in Kansas.
Put the Bong down !! This coach hire blows as much as Chokota as our QB1.
Jerry just spit in our faces
Not when we have the Great Jerry Oz.As I recall. After those heels were clicked in Kansas, it was a good ending.
Well good for some. I am sure many on here the they want failure, they were rooting for the wicked witch.
The flip side of that coin is that MM would rather take his chances in the unemployment line than work for Jerry Jones anymore. All indicatations are that he could have had the job if he agreed to Jerry's terms. We kept him from interviewing with anyone else an extra week. So, if the plan was to move on to Schott, they would have have just let him go. The plan was to bring back MM on terms favorable to jerry. There was no plan B. It kinda evolved and ended up with Schott. It also speaks volumes that it seems nobody wants McCarthy now either. He interviewed with Chicago but then they hired Ben Johnson without an interview. While MM could still get the Saints job it looks like they are waiting for the Bills' season to end and go for their OC Joe Brady.
I totally agree. I think the Jones Boys fully expected to bring MM back. When that fell apart, they were so unprepared for a coaching search they just promoted Schott. The flip side of that coin is that MM would rather take his chances in the unemployment line than work for Jerry Jones anymore. It is not surprising at all that a team like Chicago with a young Qb in need of grooming would preference Ben Johnson. He was the consensus top head coaching candidate going into the off season. Mike may still land in New Orleans. I'm not sure the Saints is an attractive enough job for a guy like Joe brady who's used to having josh allen run his offense.
So am I to take it that you believe they filled the position to the best of their ability? Or are we just trolling for responses? So if it works it is luck, it not more hate to Jerry. Yep, not surprised.
I liked Campo but he never had a chance b/c Jerry couldn't find him a QB. There was an article back in 2016 that quoted Campo as saying he would have given back his salary to have a QB like Romo or Dak.I totally agree. I think the Jones Boys fully expected to bring MM back. When that fell apart, they were so unprepared for a coaching search they just promoted Schott.
I hate to say it but it kind of feels like the Campo promotion way back in 2000. This roster is nowhere near as bad, but things just still feel stuck in neutral here. Having said that, without MM calling plays perhaps things will be better.
The “what if’s” can only carry us fans for so so long. Time to be realistic. What if Brian really is the right guy, with the help of Eberflus. Who many fans wanted to be promoted to DC and then HC.
Eberflus can bring a toughness to the defense. As he did in Indy and Chicago. That can help the offense and they need it.
All fans wanted a younger HC, that could relate to the players better. Be somewhat innovative. Not saying that Schotty is that person.
But he is not a retread coach that many did not want anyway (but yet they complain Jerry did not go after any of them). Yes other candidates were out there. This seemed rushed all of a sudden after what seemed like Jerry was dragging his feet about it all.
But who are we fans to say who would be better, though we think we know. Moore? What qualifies Ben Johnson over anyone else, other than he actually has called plays with success for Detroit. But HC material, none of us knows. Carroll, Zimmer, Chucky?
I am not a big fan of this move. I did not like the way the FO went about this. We known their failures for years now. We will see how serious they are come FA to see if they are willing to actually improve the roster. Or is all of this for nothing, again.
I know what the answers and posts will be. Same old stuff that has been repeated 100 times in every thread.
So fellow Zoner's, here is a challenge. Think outside of that box in your head, and think ... what if he can be innovative and was held back by MM ...
NO SB's or even Conference Championship games in 30 seasons and we are supposed to like the guy???So if it works it is luck, it not more hate to Jerry. Yep, not surprised.
So you’re saying we have a 1% chance? What if Brian really is the right guy, with the help of Eberflus. Who many fans wanted to be promoted to DC and then HC.

I guess you did not read all of my posts. Or you do not understand it.So am I to take it that you believe they filled the position to the best of their ability? Or are we just trolling for responses?
No Did not say 1%.So you’re saying we have a 1% chance?
You’re right we don’t know and now we all hope he is the second coming of Dan Campbell. Now saying this if he is the one it is not due to a great hiring process but would be dumb luck because he wasn’t on the radar of any team in the league and JJ does not have any history of finding coaching gems and looking at Jerry’s coaching tree it is abysmal .What if Brian really is the right guy, with the help of Eberflus. What if not participating in FA and only building through the draft is really the right approach to building a Super Bowl team. What if Brian really is the right guy, with the help of Eberflus. Who many fans wanted to be promoted to DC and then HC.

I hope they lose every game until Jerry steps down. You’re right we don’t know and now we all hope he is the second coming of Dan Campbell. I am now rooting against the Cowboys because I want to see Jerry fail miserably. He took the joy out of being a Cowboys fanI hope they lose every game until Jerry steps down.
We need a real GM ASAP!
They won’t lose every game but I predict they will lose the majority of their games.I hope they lose every game until Jerry steps down.
