Get your diapers ready!

DFWJC only wants to win if Romo is the one guiding the ship(and he's ready to go down with that Romo led ship). If this team is 6-2(and they will be), it would be moronic to bench Dak or any QB, especially if they're playing at a high level.

.....
Why do you say that? I've been nothing but complimentary on Dak.
Stop being such an arse.

Why look that far back, why not look at what Brock did in Manning's absence last year... Course Manning then came back and won the Super Bowl... Sounds like a better scenario to me

Did you watch the playoffs? Peyton was terrible in the playoffs. Their defense won that. We don't have one starter on our defense that would start on that defense so this comparison is not real valid. Peyton did not come back and put the team on his back. Romo has to because this defense is too poor and at this point with his health, he can't. Brock would have won the Super Bowl as well had he stayed in.

Also, Peyton is much more decorated and established than Romo through his time in Denver and his career as a whole. Romo hasn't done much to bow down to him once he returns. His career as we knew it is done. He's a shell of himself now and can't even take a basic hit without being injured for a few months. Peyton is also much more reliable health wise.

Romo gets his starting position again and Dak goes to the bench.
Sorry but that's the reality of it and that's the way it should be.

Because Dak is a rookie he will have a pretty short leash.
If we are still in running for playoff spot and team doesnt have winning record, Romo gets his position back.
If team is in playoff postition, Romo will come off the bench first sign of danger.
Romo probably starts any playoff game unless we have a great record and are on a significant winning streak.

I don't think Romo will play again.if Dak goes 8-8 then our QB search is over and we can spend the next off season imroving our Defense.

Even if we're 8-0?
Most likely. We've been dedicated to him wholeheartedly within this franchise for the past 10 years. I don't see him sitting for an entire half of the season, along with the playoffs, considering that's likely starting 8-0, if he's ready to go.

1. I wouldn't want it any other way
2. Jerry wouldn't even allow it to begin with.

Sorry but this isn't the appropriate time for "what ifs." This is the time for the organization and the team to pick themselves up and make the necessary decisions about what to do about what they'll be facing in the near future. Whatever happens with Dak will happen for a reason. Only then will it be the right time to deal with the results that are destined to come. There's more than enough to worry about in the here and now.

Depends how he plays: if they are 6-2 because we run the ball 40 times again and he only has to make limited throws, I wouldn't be surprised to see Romo starting again. If he dominates like a 5 year vet racking up yards and making key passes late in games that lead to wins then yeah that is going to be a tough call.

I know there will be growing pains, but Dak needs to go 1-0 to show me he can continue to impress me in a way no rookie has before out of the gate. I will always love me some Romo, but if Dak takes ahold of the Raynes (intended) I will be buying his jersey week 2.

Honestly this may be a blessing in disguise. I never thought this team would contend because I have said all along I didnt think Romo lasted the year. However it gives the team a chance to see what they have in Dak. If the scouts were right and he is a two then fine because they need a two. If the scouts were wrong and he is for example a top 15 QB, then they cash a lottery ticket on a 4th round pick. I see it as a no lose situation.

I'm thinking
We've all seen the story before gents. I predict Dak will exceed expectations...become a big surprise story in the league and Romo..won't get his job back when healthy. As much as I love Tony, forces unknown are writing a script.... enjoy the ride
This type of thing does seem to happen in sports.

The beginnings of the story were already written with his brilliant preseason and being a person many want to pull for.

What if I told you a team lost their star quarterback in preseason?

What if I told you a 4th round Rookie quarterback would lead that team to a Super Bowl title the year we tragically lost America's most prized gorilla?
