What if Dallas wins the Super Bowl this season?

LOL...…….what with the average and horrid Dak at QB? How could you even think that? Are you bi polar?
please, stop hijacking my posts or just respond to the question. In no instance did I ever insinuate that I believe we would win. I post something non-Dak and you try using that against me?

I don't think people realize what an achievement it is to be as mediocre as we have been for all those seasons. 8 and 8 is actually the new great. How many teams go to the Superbowl and then then the following season they don't even make the playoffs. For this franchise to compete as long as we did that's actually an awesome achievement. I feel like we could have won every single game we played for the last 20 years.
So do you think if we actually won we'd start to fall apart like most teams do or would we just remain a steady beat and just hope everything falls in our favor again?

Its a legitimate question. All you do is run around the board and talk about how bad Dak is and that we will be crushed for eternity if we pay him 30 million per year.

Then you come on here and post about the possibility of winning the SB. Seems odd.

But to your question...….…...if we win the SB, Garrett gets resigned and should get resigned. Anyone that fires a SB coach would be a moron.

Speculation. We probably go backwards. Only the Patriots are the exception. They know how to do the Dirty Work Release a player rather than pay the big dollars

So even if we continue our normal path of being average for 3-4 years or longer after we win one he's alright in your book?
Winning the division 3 out of the last 5 years (with two different QB’s), playing in the divisional round in two of them, and having the second most wins in the NFL in the last 3 years, isn’t even close to average. And doing it while rebuilding on the fly, certainly isn’t.

Going 12-4 and winning a playoff game in 2014 with a bad defense isn’t average.
Going 13-3 in 2016 with a rookie QB isn’t average.
Going 10-6 in 2018 and winning a playoff game with the NFL’s second youngest team, isn’t average.

I understand being disappointed by not making it to the NFC Championship game... but the Cowboys haven’t been average.

And yes, if Dallas won the super Bowl, Garrett would be around for a good while longer. Deservedly so.

We'll have to look elite first before I would even entertain the thought of a super bowl. Cowboys don't look elite to me.

NOT going to happen... just like i predicted last season, and the season before, and the season before...

Going 7-1 down the stretch and beating Seattle isn't elite, but its a good start. Now imagine getting Frederick back and both Gallup and Williams another offseason. Then throw in Witten and no more linehan.

Not hard to imagine the team being better then it was down the stretch last year. If we dont sign a safety in FA then you know were taking one with the 2nd round pick. Just getting rid of Heath alone is another win or two.

The problem with the league is that you can't just automatically pick up where you left off last season. I wouldn't expect us to do 7 and 1 on the second half of the season in 2019, but I don't expect to start 3 and 5 either, so maybe win more at the beginning and lose a couple more near the end and that would be realistic. Hopefully at least good enough to make the playoffs, and then like every year it's a whole separate season.

They typically make so many bad decisions in the offseason and preseason that we have started out slow. Injuries always play a big part. On the offense everyone pretty much is back and you get Frederick back. The only unknown is Moore and changes he makes to the offense.

As long as the Oline is healthy I think this offense is ready to take off.

What coaches and players do you think we double down on to retain? Does JG get credit and does he get an extension, as I've not ruled out before, that would have him competing with Tom Landry for longest tenured DC HC? Maybe not coach in more seasons than Landry, but still set the bar for modern day head coaches for a single team.

Would winning change how we operate and keep players?

9 years before a ring, how many more years would Garrett get to chase another if we continue to miss the playoffs or possibly get one WC in?

we shall see

I wish that would mean all of you that criticize JJ and JG would stop but unfortunately nothing will stop that because you don't know how to admit you were wrong.
We won’t win the Super Bowl mainly because of those 2!!

I would give Garrett 3 more years just for an NFCCG appearance and the same for a SB win or lose. If he doesn't repeat in those three years then I know it's officially time to move on. But then there's JJ that will feel everything they do now has been validated and insist nothing change.
