if u say dak is no good, then having zeke is moot.
i will give the new offense a chance to thrive, and we will get a better read without zeke.
I'm not saying Dak is no good. You are, if you still want him to prove it without Zeke. Dak is great for our scheme, the issue is that the scheme is built around Zeke. Therefore, sign Zeke!!!!

the GARRETT scheme around zeke is obsolete.
pass first to set up the run.

wait did u not say it is a business???
market value not fairness, was that right?
The RB market is undervalued and those guys get used up and tossed away. No matter how good you think Pollard has played the team is gonna need Zeke if it wants to have a chance to win a SB.

Zekes newest play with his tweet is to make it look like he is holding out for the good of the future of the RB position. In reality, he is holding out for 1 reason only. He wants to be the highest paid RB in the league. He does not really care about the few million extra, just the title and respect.

I have no respect for that crap honestly. Saquon is gonna take that title from you in about 24 months anyway!

Yes I have. And what you're proposing would get out. It would turn away agents and players.

well so have i.
there are times to employ the scorch earth technique.
and this is that time to set the precedence.

if you have been involved in hardball negotiations, then you should know that the 'turning off agent/player' situation does not apply here.
we draft the players and barely sign any fas.
when we draft someone, it is a monopoly over their next 4-5 years.
they better know who is boss.
you loosen that hold like jerry may do, the place would go out of control.

Zeke touches the ball 3 times as much as a WR would on a good game yet a premier WR will get 20 mil. Zeke deserves at least 16 mil a year and that's probably conservative. But the he out produces any top WR.

the rb market is what it is.
for all of you who said it is a business, then treat it like a business.
instead of the 'oh it is not fair' argument when zeke was offered a top-2 rb contract 2 YEARS before end of his rookie contract.

zeke would come back after game 11.
if the team is good enough, it will be fine for the 1st 10 games.
it is time to trade for a proven decent rb though.
they have not done that beccause they probably do not want to make zeke worry.
but it is time.

no, it is not just precedent in terms of contract value.
it is also precedent in terms of creating a new reputation for the front office

Not only is it a few million per year.
Not only is it a huge cap hit if he gets suspended or banned.
It is also all the negotiations to follow.
If the Jones allow Zeke to force the highest pay for a RB 2 years before his contract is up, what will Dak, Cooper, LVE, BJones, Chido, Woods do?
Will everyone start holding out 2 years before their contract is done?
That means Chido and Woods could hold out after the season and LVE the season after that?

If I were Stephen, I would make an example of Zeke's agent.
Make it totally personal.
Curse at him, degrade him, talk about his wife and his mother, do whatever it takes to make Zeke realize that a deal cannot be done as long as he has the same agent.
Force the agent to get fired or else Zekes' career is in limbo.
Set the precedent.
So all other agents know what can happen.

Simply make this statement:
we made Zeke an offer to be the top 2 paid rb.
he did not take it.
that is the last offer.
we are not trading him.
he can play for the cowboys or not at all.
have a nice day.
Agree with everything you said. Zeke's contract holdout is possibly the tip of a huge iceberg if they do not correctly address it.

Start talking about an agent's wife and mother and no agent will want to work with you. You will turn the team into a leper colony. This is one of the absolute stupidest things I've ever read on here.

I'm sure players would give everything they've got for your franchise.

Seriously, that's the kind of stuff that gets sergeants killed by their troops. :muttley:

We didn't win with Zeke his first 3 years. Just in case we all forgot.

20 carries for 47 yds 1 TD against the Rams. What happen to Zeke then?

If anything Zeke help a young QB out by taking away a lot of the stress. But Dak is growing and just in case we forgot we was still losing with Zeke last year!!!

We should go with Pollard and another quality back. Get a vet in here that can still run.
GOOD TRY put the rams game on Zeke how about he other 2 playoff games?

so the rams game the entire team played bad both sides coaching etc

but does your narrative support 137 yards and a td 5.3 avg against seatle? I guess thats not taking over?

Greenbay game, 22 for 125 5.7 avg

so 2 of the 3 games he played well, he didnt decline from his Regular season stats and some cases exceeded.. everyone points to the rams game.. who played well that day? the rams whooped up on both sides plus coaching yet thats the one you point out..i saw the Oline, TEs, and FB being pushed back into the backfield nearly every snap , they said we will stop Zeke they sold out into do so and the passing game didnt help out much..bad game for ALL..

hes had only 3 chances.. played very well in 2 of 3..

So back to reality, in your narrative Tank and Jaylon smith stole money and shouldnt be here , replace them with younger talent, why lets see they got ran the f over by the rams 2 Rbs all day so the Defense was horrible..replace them all...

good try nitpicking his only bad game where the other 2 he ran for well over his seasons AVG..good one troll that rams game should never be used in argument to keep a player or coach or not. if it were the entire team and coaching staff should be gone.. Jerry would sell the team and move on..
