What is everyone's thoughts on the iPhone 5?

I hate the new cord...only because the multiple old ones I have will not work. Plus those with docks will get screwed.

No matter what if we want to use our old cords or docking ports we will have to buy adapters.

Or we will just have to buy extra new cords.

I Have one for my computer at home, one for the computer at work and then a spare I use if I go somewhere (like vacation).

Preorder is THIS FRIDAY. Ship date is Sept 21st. Getting it on Verizon or AT&T. I don't know yet. Leaning towards Verizon.

It basically is a little taller, better processor, and better camera. Thats about it.

4 inch screen, A6 processor, 4g capabale, dual band wireless, lighter, thinner, etc.

Lol. Ya id take an s3 way before an iphone. I really want the samsung note 2 but seeing as i dont have an upgrade fir almost 2 years it wont happen. im not paying $800 for a freaking phone!!

Not gonna lie here, but what else are they supposed to do to upgrade the phone?

It's going to be coming with a new a6 processor?, better camera, thinner, lighter, bigger screen, better resolution than the I4, new OS, 4g?, etc.

That's about all Apple can upgrade to a phone. :laugh2:

And I am all Android, all the time. The only Apple product I own is the Airport.

They should've made it a little wider.

All they did was stretch out the 4g and put a better camera on it.

Im disapointed with that.

Whatever the new model looks like, it has to be better than my iPhone 4. It is way too small, it is hard to text on, not to mention my 40yr old eyes have trouble with it sometimes.

This was the problem I had with my iphone 3gs, and why I bought the Samsung Note. Much easier on the eyes, and easier to text.

i4s-II ...everything is different in the phone.

What were you expecting? A 5.5" screen w/ an 8 core processor, 4GB of internal RAM, A14 processor, and 14 MP camera?

I mean come on, there is only so much you put into a cell phone.

A while back I got a email from a friend that had an article about phones in Japan that basically replaced the wallet. They had something built in to where they could act as a credit card and payments would be made by moving the phone into a proximity of a scanner and accepting the payment on the screen.

I was kind of hoping for that. I wouldn't mind having a phone that just replaced my wallet. Scan my ID and cards in and have one less thing in my pocket.

The card chips are already in some phones out now just no one is really using them yet in the US. The Nokia 920 and 820 coming out in November will have them as well.
