Yeah! Like when Cowboys critics say, “This team is toast, there’s no way they make the playoffs.”

I’ve never seen Dak do ANYTHING about that!

I mean, we won the division and we are making the playoffs... but Dak didn’t carry us!

Well, he was clutch down the stretch of several of those games, and we’re a ball-control offense that makes sure to run the ball on half our snaps so his numbers aren’t gaudy... but Dak was a 4th round pick and I don’t like how he took Romo’s job!!

What were we talking about again?

i believe he won both games opponents slighted him.
Its funny how some of the 'fans' are so married to an agenda a position that they create a thread which is intended to criticize a guy for not being good at the exact thing he is good at.
Dak is known as being a guy who performs well under pressure and also as I guy who plays very well after being called out. I guess this agenda driven 'fan' can't remember the phase "Challenge Accepted" from this season.

Dak is what he has always been. A very streaky dude. Capable of going toe to toe with Aaron Rodgers, then the next week, looking like a poor mans ty detmer. lol... Good thing we have Zeke...and that d. He can get us to the big dance, but win it? I have a hard time buying it right now. LOVE HIS FIGHT AND HEART THO. Nate newton was spot on btw. I would franchise tag him in 2019 and make him earn his next deal. NO WAY WOULD I PONY UP A BIG DEAL FOR HIM.

He plays average when called out. Not well.

I constantly hear most who know the NFL and the QB position, contrary to what some here say, comment on how the coaching staff doesn't move the pocket as much as they did in Dak's rookie season...how they (most of the time) run a different style offense and how they have basically stopped using his mobility as a weapon. It is being reported/said repeatedly that the "clock" in his head is slow because the staff WANTS him to go through every read and are almost insisting he become a prolific pocket passer when his performance tells you that is not the strength of his game. Tell me, if even half that is true...who is the problem?

The fact that a staff wants their QB to read a defense and go through his progressions shouldn't be a negative; that's what QB's should do. I don't want my $100 million dollar QB to be a running QB. They don't last long.

I don't know, but you can only crap 'em out once.
A stupid thread for a QB who just doesnt get it 15 games in.
You do realize that Dak Prescott this season has a better QB rating than every single year of Troy Aikmans career except 1?
Take a look at Aikmans record, Completion Percentage, Rating, TD's, Int, his first 3 seasons and compare this to Dak's.

Let me guess....Its a different league now right? Well we run a 1992 offense so its not as different as you want to think.

One, the cowboys are not even a team that dabbles much when it comes to QBs. QBs may not be easy to find but the cowboys damn sure haven't given themselves the best chances over the years.

Even when Romo was here they never were serious about the future after Romo and have always passed up QB opportunities.

They dont put much thought into the recruit part. They prefer the bottom of the ladder and hope for the best.
Ok, I’ll give you that.

Now let’s talk about what you’d do.

What is your solution. Or any others that don’t think Dak is the solution please answer.

I used to ask the anti Romo bunch the same question and I’m still waiting for a reasonably good answer.

The problem is alot of you are impressed with stats. Aikman didnt need that to win, he won with lesser stats.

How did that stat padding work for Romo:muttley:

After his career ended you would have thought Dallas somewhere retrieved a 6th SB just by looking at them!

if we go one and done, Garrett is out. Ii have a hunch he was given an ultimatum 6 weeks ago...so its likely common knowledge in the locker room. Watch out for Bob Stoops or Kris Richard becoming the HC. GARRETT is not playing with house money anymore...hasn't been for 6 weeks.

First, I don't know why you're quoting my joke about refried beans to make your point.

Second, when Dak becomes a HoF QB, that'd be the time to compare him to Aikman..........Oops, did I say "When"?

I don't know. Saw that video where he got hit it he mouth and he seemed very motivated to just lay there and take it.
Wasn’t he sucker punched and kicked in the face while down? He’s tough, but I’m betting he was a little out on his feet.

Now his “friends”

They’re some little *****es

Tag Dak...draft a QB to groom with upside galore. Its all about options and competition. Don't rule our this Mike White kid. He's been in this system for a year now and lit it up at Western Ky...broke all sorts of passing records and was deadly accurate.

And if Dak played on the team Aikman did then he would have all those superbowl rings also.
If Romo played on Aikmans team then he would have the rings.

So Doug Williams, Eli Manning and Trent Dilfer are all superior QB's to Dan Marino based on your criteria.

Aikman didnt win with lesser production. The Dallas Cowboys won with lesser production from their passing game.

Dak does many thing...Stat padding isnt one of them.

Weird. They all ignored all those facts.
