guys..wanna get excited? Go look up Mike white highlights on YouTube. Its cause for hope. To be fair, go look up Dak highlights at Miss. State. He CAN be special. At Miss. State, they allowed him to be himself and opened up the playbook. Could some of the problem be Linehan hand cuffing him? Have to ask. Could he flourish if he knew he didn't have to fret Linehan reigning him in? Some QB'S are just wired that way..they play better knowing they can be themselves. Favre was like this. YES HE made horrific mistaks at times, but still...made up for it later. Dak is somewhat that way.It took several years before Favre won anything.
Mike white is trash. At best he’s romo level

And if Dak played on the team Aikman did then he would have all those superbowl rings also.

No he wouldnt. Dont be delusional.

Aikman was one of the most accurate QBs to throw a football and dispite having a good defense he still earned those rings.

Dak wouldnt have earned anything back in that era. You cant place a new generational kid into a gladiators ring from back in those days.

The aikman disrespect is real with you also.

I believe the Cowboys need to draft a QB with the intent of a serious competition to light a fire under dak.

Besides daks flaws, I believe he is entirely too comfortable.
If he fails next year, we can load up in the 2020 draft and grab a blue chip.

I like it that he ignores all that crap, and stays within the team game plan. Which falls upon Linehan and team execution of that plan.
I would rather have a QB that ignores that instead of it getting onto his head and forces things, which causes mistakes.

Bulletin board material is more for fans and the media.
Unless you are Jimmy, and can say afterwards...They Are Brass....
I think most of the "bulletin board" material is coming from our own fans.

He doesnt ignore it. He notices it, says he accepts, throws one TD, spins into 10 sacks, and we win by 3pts barely escaping with our lives.

And then we have fans like you who come on here and call dak clutch the next day.

It really is hilarious.

Isn’t that how they found Romo?

And until those few fool proof years are over what should we do?
Clearly with that kind of unprecedented front office work we will find a top guy. Maybe even a hall of famer, but what until then?

Are the Cowboys the only team that doesn’t find these late round gems that are all over the league?

I would guess that the bottom teams try harder than the cowboys to find the right guy!

Like Darren Woodson said, Romo just looked the best out of a pile of QBs the cowboys broung into camp. They wernt even serious about romo to begin with.

I doubt they did any serious scouting at all.

Cmon man I'm not the only one saying this!

Its funny how some of the 'fans' are so married to an agenda a position that they create a thread which is intended to criticize a guy for not being good at the exact thing he is good at.
Dak is known as being a guy who performs well under pressure and also as I guy who plays very well after being called out. I guess this agenda driven 'fan' can't remember the phase "Challenge Accepted" from this season.
Not to mention, "Who?" in response to the no name who said the cowboys chokeand then Dak turns clutch personified in the 4th and overtime.

You see going like 27/30 for 3 TDs and the game winner in OT as not stepping up or being clutch. You’ve provided your jaded perspective so what else needs to be adjudicated by the court of public opinion?
Scott linehan gets no credit for that?

If Romo played on Aikmans team then he would have the rings.

So Doug Williams, Eli Manning and Trent Dilfer are all superior QB's to Dan Marino based on your criteria.

Aikman didnt win with lesser production. The Dallas Cowboys won with lesser production from their passing game.

Dak does many thing...Stat padding isnt one of them.
He pads the hell out of that completion percentage stat.

I can see your point.
But isn’t that the case with Luck, Wentz, Goff ect. These guys have short yardage offenses. Heck people keep posting passing charts lately and Daks looks the same as every other QB in the league.

Not many guys sling the ball downfield anymore.

Maybe this is why QB ratings are up this generation over Aikman days.....but this applies to everyone not just Dak.

Because he's a player and not a fan. Most fans have never played, they don't understand that all that talk is just a show. These guys are men, men dont buy into all that crap. Hit him in the mouth, I guarantee he'll get motivated by that.
That's the name of the game. I saw my guard reach up and flatten a guy who trash talked him right before the snap. The D tackle was trying to get into his head - didn't work.

Trash talk on the field works. Not so much in the press. Lol
