What were your impressions of Prescott

I think Wentz make more plays down the field on the Giants, yes. While Dak looks the same. Ride the bus. Keep it close. Hope to hit a FG at the end to win it.

I'd give Wentz an A today and Dak no higher than a C. His demeanor is excellent. He's already proven to me the NFL isn't too big for him. I just think he lacks talent that Wentz doesn't lack. Notably arm talent. Touch. Accuracy. Had the Eagles receivers not dropped half a dozen balls today Wentz would have had an unreal debut.
What Wentz lacks right now is the mind for the game. It's too big for him at times. If he figures that out, he'll be great. But most don't -- you can say that about umpteen dozen rookie QBs that never pan out.

What would Romo have done differently this game? We barely beat the giants last year and needed a come from behind win. We could have possibly won this game if Terrance Williams knows how to get out of bounds.

You're kidding right? Last year we had 2 balls bounce off of receivers for interceptions and a fumble returned against us for a TD. In spite of that Romo led the team to 2 TDs in a total of about 4 minutes in crunch time. Today in crunch time we did... what exactly?

If you don't think Romo would have done better you are either drunk or blind, possibly blind drunk.

You want to know what Romo would have done differently? Better ball placement, which would have cut down on the 'drops' people want to blame on the receivers. He would not have only thrown one type of pass to Dez, which was the 'toss up a prayer and hope he comes down with it.' He would have changed the play at the line and never thrown a screen to Witten on third and 20, much less twice. And if the Giants decided to concentrate solely on stopping the run and dared Romo to beat them we would have hung 40 on them. And he would have been at his best in crunch time, go watch last year's game and note the final 2 drives.

Other than that it would have been exactly the same though.

Didn't Romo make the Pro Bowl 3 of his first 4 years? What was so hard to watch?
And there's not going to be 8 games. Prescott will be marching back to the bench in early October.

Let's recall that Romo had the advantage of sitting on the bench for several years before he was sent in to be our savior. Even then, he had his rookie moments. Dak was prematurely called upon as a result of Tony's inability to physically perform. He'll require sufficient time as well.

He was wildly inaccurate in the second half. The way he played today in the second half should put to bed all the romo isn't the starter here.

If Romo plays today we win this game. If romo plays today dez bryant is part of the game, if romo plays today our running game is much better.

He has great potential and could be a great player in a couple of years but the second half showed today why we will not win games right now with him.

We are lucky he didn't get witten and beasley injured with some of the throws today they were so bad.

As I have said, I still think this Giants D might be one of the better defenses in the league. I think Prescott, for his first game on the big stage did what he needed. I don't think he was ready to go down the field and win it, not many rookie QBs are. He also didn't lose us the game, he had a couple throws that should have been TDs. Our veterans need to step up.

I wouldn't be so quick to call Dak "the future". He still looks like a 4th round toolsy rookie to me. We have no idea if he can handle a full NFL offense. All preseason and right now he's been running only a handful of plays essentially, and a lot of shotgun easy read stuff. All we have is tape from Miss St. where he ran the spread.

Personally I think we are drafting a QB in the 1st if Romo is indeed done, and he and Dak will fight it out.

Dak played pretty well.

The people who are saying he didnt challenge the Giants downfield, need to remember our first game vs NyG last year.

It was virtually the same production minus the last minute drive from Romo and the turnovers. It was also against a way better defense than last year.

And that inability to stretch the field allowed the Giants to sell out on the run the entire game. They never had to adjust because the QB never made them. It won them the game.

Morris didn't seem to have any issues running the ball

I want top tier elite. I have a hard time believing that's Prescott.

This is the modern Cowboys you won't get top tier elite at any non-kicking position ever again

I really wish I could like posts more than once. There are a few in here worth of multiple likes, and that's one of them.

You have no idea what a typical 4th round rookie qb looks like if you think Dak looked like one today.

Game was called for Romo's skill set, not Prescott's. Should have moved the pocket and by him more time to see down field. Also, Zeke should have been run off tackle to allow him to cut and bounce outside.

He merely looked OK running a simplified offense against an NFL defense. Which is about the best case scenario you can expect for a physically talented, raw college passer who has mechanical issues.

No doubt. Still doesn't make sense to make some kinda weird declaration that Romo was hard to watch for years. Romo was about as instant sensation as you can get.

they moved the pocket a number of times. He is very inaccurate. He checked down all game just like Brandon weeden. I think the giants defensive line might be the best one we play all year. they sold out to stop the run and they never made them pay for it.

Why are people still hung up on Romo? He cannot even finish a game anymore. We have our future Russell Wilson/Tom Brady right now... Just need to get him a good supporting cast and beef up the D. Im sad about the loss... But do feel we have some better times ahead.

Romo has rarely reached the playoffs, and when he did he would ALWAYS lose. Some fans need to learn to turn the page and move forward. The entire franchise will be better off for it.
