What would get you optimistic for next season?

You tell me what it would take for you to be excited for the prospects of the 2025 season.

Jerry and Stephen aren't going anywhere. The way this team is structured isn't changing. So I'm asking within this structure, what can the team do this offseason to get you legitimately excited for next season?

If it's coaches, name them. Players in the draft or free agency, name them.

Or maybe there is nothing they can do as long as the leadership doesn't change. Let me know that too.

And not filling it with players who’ve been cut from seven teams or poached off practice squad rosters

Filling them with players who’ve had a modicum of success in the nfl don’t have to be all pro but quality players

Make a decision on McCarthy and do it by tomorrow, you either sign him or you don’t stop dragging your feet…

I haven't actually looked at all the potential candidates to have a favorite coaching hire at this point.

I certainly haven't looked at a free agent wishlist, because it seems incredibly unlikely.

That said a legitimate new staff and a couple legitimate free agents, paired with a strong draft and I'd actually be optimistic once again.

My expectations is MM and a speech about how little pie we have to go around. I also think Jerry will drag out his extension as long as possible and then tell us about the plethora of teams beating down his door.

Step 1: Jerry issues a very public apology to the hosts of The Fan acknowledging that threatening their livelihoods was the move of a very fragile, egotistical little man who can't tolerate being questioned on things he's done wrong.

That will get me back to caring whether this team wins or loses anything under his watch.

Step 2: Draft a QB, any QB, in the first round.

- Keep McCarthy, he did have three 12 winning seasons with Dak at the helm, I don't want to start all over again, I'm too old.
- Draft a starting RB and WR2, use the rest of the draft on Defense.
- Get some free agents that can contribute ala Kendriks.
- Bring in a new DC or promote Al Harris.
- Get rid of Schotty, take playcalling from Mac, bring in a new younger OC.
- Fire Mickey Spagnola.

All that would give me hope of a competitive season, no Superbowl though, not with Two Picks Prescott in the playoffs.
