They would be lucky to get a 2nd.1st and a 4th would be my asking price.

He’s still a great player, but entering his 10th season and pushing 33 you wouldn’t get a first round pick for him. You would have to stick with him for the price you’re asking.1st and a 4th would be my asking price.
Of course they aren't. It was just a hypothetical question raised by those "reporters".They aren't trading Martin.
Cooper and Martin have nothing in common at all.but after the Cooper deal I don't expect a lot back.
First round for an aging lineman? He'd bring in a first no problem.
Look at what a first-round guard would get you. A 1st round guard is going to suck for his first 1-2 years, because they almost invariably do. By year 4 or 5, you hope he's hitting his stride and becomes a Pro Bowl level player. Chris Lindstrom is your optimal scenario. Worst case scenario is like Chance Warmack. Your guard busts and never becomes any better than a fringe level player.
Martin is going to give you near guaranteed Pro Bowl level play this year. He does kind of become a year to year proposition after that, but the cliff isn't in sight yet. I'd guess he has 3 more quality years in the tank, and after year 4 or 5 he's probably off your roster.
Martin will cost more money than a rook, but he'll bring in far better results in the short and medium term than almost anyone you could pick. If you are a team with a 2-3 year horizon, like say the Jets, I'd way rather have Martin than a rookie RG. That rook probably wasn't going to play like a stud by then anyway. Martin is almost a guarantee to.
I would prefer to keep Martin on this squad, as I think he's worth more to the Cowboys than a 1st round pick at this point. You could make an argument for the famous Belichick approach, dump 'em a year too early rather than a year too late, but I don't think Martin is even two years from the cliff yet.
I will never root for any one player to win a Super Bowl unless he plays for the Cowboys. Perhaps when the Cowboys are eliminated my thoughts change, but not until then!!!If he gets traded I'll root for him to win a SB...the same way I did Ware.
As for as I'm concerned D-Ware is a Cowboy. It wasn't like we were going to play him except in the SB and the odds for that was near zero.I will never root for any one player to win a Super Bowl unless he plays for the Cowboys. Perhaps when the Cowboys are eliminated my thoughts change, but not until then!!!

At 32 getting a 1 is a moonshot. You are lucky to get that for more valuable positions and younger players but at 32, and at G, I think a 1 and 4 is absolutely the peak value that you would possibly get, and realistically you are probably getting a 2 and a 4.I think that is not enough to TBH. best OG in football, now thats also why i dont think he will get traded.
It’s post-June 1st so you’ll split it between 2 years and save a bunch in 2023They get a $17.6 million CAP hit.
If that were true he’d have been traded by now. What could we get? or What would we get? Huge difference.....
If the proper GM was making this deal, legitimately, we could very easily get a first and second or even 2 firsts. What we would get (however), there is no telling how Jerry can screw it up.
Dumber than they are now.Very interesting discussion in the video. Just follow the link.
What would the Cowboys get if they traded Zack Martin?

The Cowboys are digging their heels in with Zack Martin, as the disgruntled All-Pro guard remains away from the team.
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said Tuesday on the K&C Masterpiece on 105.3 The Fan that he has 'no idea' if Martin will miss regular season games. And he and his father, Jerry, appear to be unfazed by Martin not being in camp right now.
Hypothetically, if things got uglier between the two sides, should the Cowboys consider trading him, and if so, what could they get in return for him?

My mistake. The get a $1.7 million save in 2023, but they take a $19 million cap hit in 2024.It’s post-June 1st so you’ll split it between 2 years and save a bunch in 2023
I think it depends on where the team trading the pick(s) to you is drafting in the round(s).Very interesting discussion in the video. Just follow the link.

Tyron Smith is DONE. Keeping Smith around is very poor roster space usage and cap usage.Jerry is so stupid! He should cut Tyron Smith and give Martin Smiths money.
