Beast is bored and was curious as to when others on here started to realize Drew was done.

For Beast, it was the Philly game. The Jax game I wrote off as being openning day jitters, but after watching the Philly game, I knew we were going nowhere with Drew. TO was open twice for walk-in TDs and Drew just could not or would not get the ball to him.

Does Beast think we are going to win the SB with Romo this year.....NO.

Reality is that Romo is going to struggle, but considering Drew was near the bottom in just about every statistical QB category, Romo cannot be any worse. If he sucks, it is a push.......Drew sucked also. If he shows any signs at all, it is a positive for us.

Our main problem is trying to fix the O-line and the D....the G-men were taunting us every play the other night and our D just laid down like a $2 hooker:laugh2:
When Tom Brady didn't go back to the bench after he got healthy.

I still respect him, but you can't ignore what happened. It is relevant.

I watched a game in 1999 when Bledsoe was still in New England. This was when Aikman was struggling and we were having a hard time protecting him. As I watched that game, it struck me that New England was having a tough time doing the same for Bledsoe. New England won that game 13-6 and I figured it was just a bad game.

I was at that game...Laflaurer sucks. A cold Sunday night game.

To make it worse, I was their with all of my friends who were NE fans...

I thought the first game of the year it was obvious that he still made throws that hurt us, and always would...

Really? That's cool. Before this game, I really hadn't watched Bledsoe much. I watched him at Washington St. and I saw him play games here and there but hadn't really watched him. I was still under the impression that he was the second coming of Troy, so to speak. I remember that comparison from the pre game hype. It was really a revolation, of sorts, to watch that game.

I knew nothing about him before he got here. The first part of last season, I felt like maybe Parcells knows how to use him. Then he started trailing off and we started seeing sort of the things that we were warned about.

Then Jacksonville came and I know that what they said was completely true. Ever since then I've had enough.

Please note - this is the first time in my life as a Cowboys fan that I felt we needed to bench the QB in the season. I am usually pretty loyal to the position. But Bledsoe is what he is.

He didnt win his SB.
He was benched for a low round draft QB.
He flopped in Boofallo.
He was dumped for another younger inexperienced QB.
He comes to Dallas... he says he cant wait to dress his kids up in the Dallas gear... cant wait to dump Boofallo gear... he felt slighted and I thought he might have been too...

He plays for us and I cringe when he takes a snap from center.

So... I guess when he was benched for Brady is when I thought he was done.... although for the rest of his timeline I had hoped he would prove others/myself wrong....

I knew alot about him because I have DTV and we had the Bill's draft pick, so I would always find myself watching their games, rooting against them.

I also recall the Bill's game, vividly, in Texas Stadium...and Bledsoe just stunk the joint out that day against the Cowboys.

I have compared him to Craig Morton for a while...Big arm, same physique, looks great with great protection...falls apart when pressure is applied. It's been like instant replay.

Let's hope that just as Morton was replaced by a somewhat brash, mobile QB..that we get something remotely close to that with this switch.

I was thinking about that game the other day, and I remember a few vague drop backs and throws off his back foot. I remember thinking to myself that we won that game because our defense harassed Bledsoe. But the more I think about it - it wasn't our 'number 1 defense' but the QB who heard footsteps all day.

I never followed Bledsoe's career closely until he got to Dallas.

When I saw the guy in 2003, when the Boys played them, I definately didnt walk away from that game thinking, "Hey, we should sign this guy".

Funny, I re-watched that 2003 Game and the Boys employed the same techniques defensively that everyone else has been using against him.

Yeah...we looked like beasts that day...and we got to him early...and rattled him...and he just tanked the rest of the game.

And that's one of the reasons I found it MIND BOGGLING that we brought him here. They game-planned to his weaknesses and beat the daylights out of him...what on earth would have made the same people not think that other teams could do it just as easily, if not, easier because we didn't have great talent on that defense?

That is true though, but our roster was filled with young and inexperienced guys and since we had signed Vinny the year before, I wasn't surprised another old FOB was being brought in.

When he was in Buffalo and I was pumped he was the starting QB and I just know we would win in Buffalo because he would make a stupid mistake sack fumble later we win.

That is why I have been one of the Anti Bledsoe guys the day they talked about signing him. I never thought he could get it done when it matter most.

Why do guys like Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley go to Vegas and drop a million bucks on the table gambling? Surely, they know the odds are not in there favor.

I guess they just believe that THEY can win. I honestly can't say that I understand the reasoning.

Btw, here's a review of Bledsoe's performance against the Cowboys that day...

Drew Bledsoe was 17-of-34 for 104 yards while under heavy pressure all game. He was sacked three times and lost two fumbles; he was spared from a third by the tuck rule. His longest completion was an 18-yard screen.

Everything he exhibited that was a problem these past two seasons, was in full evidence that day....

Ya know, ABQ, I understand and accept that I have been anti-Parcells for the better part of three years. So I might not be objective any longer.

Part of my problem is with his arrogance. I don't care if he wants to be arrogant with the media, etc. I only care to the degree that it impacts the team's performance.

Now, it's obviously conjecture on my part, but I think part of the problem was that with Bledsoe, Parcells felt he could "coach him up". That in fact, he had the answers the other coaches didn't. And that is part of why Bledsoe was brought here...more than it just being a gamble.

you're not objective. most QBs have to be "coached up".. yes even Peyton (see how he unravels in big games due to not being "coached up".

regarding his arrogance, isn't that now disproved to even the haters with Tuna pulling the plug on Drew, and in the manner in which he did it?

I think it had to be this IMO. Nothing else makes sense. Bledsoe is what he is and he has been so for a very long time. I can not imagine why you would limit yourself at the QB position, knowing that you have problems with the OL, in such a way otherwise.

I think that's just part of the make up. It's a down side you must accept with Parcells, IMO. However, he is still an extremely good coach. A hall of fame coach IMO. Unfortunatly, nobody is perfect.
