Where are you now on losing/retaining/promoting Dan Quinn?

I find policing a bunch of children bleepin' disheartening.

How hard is it to debate a subject without resorting to childish insults?

I only see one member throwing out childish insults.

The problem is Jerry jones can’t make decisions objectively. He lets the media make them for him. Like when zeke held out or dak wanted more money. Jerry let the media pressure get to him because it made him look dumb.

In terms of coaches Jerry doesn’t want to let the next “Sean Peyton” get away in KM. Or the fact other teams want Dan Quinn. He can’t handle letting those guys go and watch them be successful elsewhere.

So he brings them back for better or for worse.

Sean Peyton is a winner. He is well respected. He’s an offensive genious who knows how to get the most out of quarterbacks.

This franchise hasn’t had a true respectable coach since bill parcels.

He also would in all likelihood went to a second sb if not for the greatest non call in nfl history.

Dan Quinn is a good coach to me who’s riding Micah parsons coat tails right now…. And has done a poor job adjusting in games. Go look at some of the drives they take Micah out and tell me I’m wrong.

You're walking a fine line, questioning moderation. I will do what I always do, cut some slack, but I suggest you move on.

I really don't enjoy benching people. Get back to football.

Is he really? He had Drew Brees for 15 years, put up amazing numbers, and won one SB. Mike McCarthy has the same resume'. What's so special about Peyton?

I’m fine with Quinn but if he left I wouldn’t be nearly as heartbroken as I would’ve been this year. Demeco Ryan is gonna be a damn good coach.
Dameco Ryans will be a head coach just like Quinn was promoted when he was with Seattle, However, if he were hired by let’s say the Texans how quickly do you think he’d turn things around? Ryans, like Saleh before him had premium talent to work with especially on the line. Nick Bosa on the outside, Erik Armstead in the interior and even had Deforest Buckner for a little bit. What separates us from 49ers is Armstead. Not Bosa , Not Warner, Not Polamalu Jr but Armstead. You give DQ Armstead and this run D would probably be better.

What are your thoughts on Dan Quinn in 2023?
Last I heard, it was rumored he was done with the HC dream
and wanted to by a DC, like Dick LeBeau was in Pittsburgh. (Remember Blitzburgh)

Didn't Payton essentially get screwed twice in the playoffs?
Especially the Rams game.

I never got the Dan Quinn fascination, and damn sure do NOT want him to be head coach.

Look around the NFL. It's an offensive league. The last thing I want is a defensive head coach.

Trouble? Ha. You don't know what trouble is, Rayy.
Like I've said before, admit what you did. Apologize!
And I'll never mention it again.
You used to post comments here as a ghetto black man.
Much the same way you do your dumb Brit act.
Also, nobody likes you.

Slander/libel.

My you are an angry petite person.:muttley:

Yes, that's what I was thinking in terms of not pursuing a HC job.
Not the best delegater, for sure. (28-3)

Without Quinn we'd be under .500 and on our way home after game 17.
When MM is fired I'd give Quinn a year
his players leave their guts on the field for him, I'd like too see if he could do that with the whole squad.

I like Quinn as a DC. Still need a couple pieces to the defense.
Some just aren't cut out for the added responsibilities of being HC.
McCarthy isn't going anywhere next year.

Right now, I think MM, KM and DQ will all be back next season.

He was one of the hottest names for the 2023 HCing cycle before the season started. Although we are ranked #5 defensively, we still have some serious issues. But I guess the question is/are his scheme vs lack of quality players in key positions. Has his star fizzled a bit over the last few weeks? Thoughts?

  • Do you still want him as MM replacement?
  • Are you OK with losing him for an HC job?

Dan is one of the top defensive coordinators in the NFL steel

#1 Never wanted him as a HC or MM replacement
#2 i would raise his salary to a certain degree to keep him. If he doesnt want to stay (regardless of reason) let him go.

It doesn’t matter. This team will continue to falter at the hands of any and everyone. We’re a poverty franchise that can’t be fixed. Keep his or lose him, we’ll be in the same 1st round exit loop until the end of time.
Exactly as long as Jerry owns the team and the Jones boys are playing GM - who the coach is is irrelevant. Get anybody you want as head coach, the results will be the same with whomever.
