Which QBs would you rather have instead of Tony Romo?

Not Manning and Brady simply because of age.

Not Brees or Rivers because I don't think either is better.

Perhaps Roethlisberger, but I honestly don't think he's an upgrade, even though I can see arguments both ways. I wouldn't have even considered him before last year but that performance in the Super Bowl was epic.

Matt Ryan isn't in the question. He had a very good rookie season, one of the best for a QB in a long, long time, but he still has a LONG way to go before being mentioned with these other QBs.

Only a brain dead idiot would choose Cutler.

Funny thing is Brees and Rivers do not have rings and if they were in Dallas many of the people ripping on Romo would be ripping on these players as well. Number wise Romo is putting up the same type of numbers.

It helps he has had Norv Turner and his system.

I never wanted Turner here, but in retrospect, I'd rather have had Turner and Rivera than Phillips and Garrett.

Bingo!!!

And, yes I agree...except I would rather have Turner and Phillips (D. Coor).

Brady
Manning
Brees
Rivers
Warner

Id debate over Roethlisberger and McFlabb.

I like Romo...but with this statement you are assuming that either or both of those player would not have rings if they were in Dallas. We for sure do not know that would be the case. This team QB's by Brees in 2007 very well could have had a ring for all we know.

Romo is statistically superior to Brady over the same period of time.

Romo is Manning's equal as well, and Manning didn't win a playoff game for like 5 years....

Big Ben... look how many times he throws per game... He won those super bowls?

McNabb and Rivers? I could see Rivers as an alternate, but McNabb get the F out of here..
You cant be this dumb. there are many QB's i will take over the loser Romo.

We wouldn't because our QB isn't the reason we lost.

The fact of the matter is there are really only 4 choices as QB for the Dallas Cowboys.

Tony Romo
Jon Kitna
Stephen McGee
Rudy Carpenter

The Cowboys cannot acquire Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. All that is fantasy stuff. I'd take Romo over the other 3 real options we do have put together.

Hostile ftw.

short list.

peyton
brady
palmer
brees

that's it. sure not little ben. easily the most overrated qb in the league. and don't give me the ring argument. by that rationale dilfer is better than marino. ben is a bus driver, nothing more.

Brees or Rivers would have watched the punt team get punked, Henry get torched, a 12 yard curl route turn into a 52 yard TD by Toomer, the suspect calls against Dallas, Fasano drop a sure TD after the ball went right though his hands and hit him in the facemask, Crayton drop a sure game changing play or hesitate on his route at the end of the game (the pass was perfect and would have been a TD), Steve Smith and Kevin Boss get matched up one on one with Roy Williams in the deep third, the offensive line collapse (both tackles), ect...

Those guys would have lost that game, too. The quarterback sure didn't lose it.

TO from 2000 to 2007 is light years better then Marvin Harrison or Wayne ever was.

ummmm...i dont think so.....i would take Harrison over T.O. any day ...

drafted same year very similar numbers, more consistent, better hands and way better team mate than T.O. will ever be.....

so even if you prefer the cancer....there is no way he is LIGHT years ahead of Harrison

I'd trade you FOUR tony romos for ONE Matt Ryan.

You can't fool me, you don't have four Tony Romos and you know it.

Trying to rip me off like that... :bang2:

Besides, Ryan isn't worth 1/2 of a Romo.

Laugh all you want. In his first year, Matt Ryan's Falcons won 3 games in December and got to the playoffs. Remind me again what happened to our December playoff run? Oh right, Romo was busy giving it away again like he did the year before.
