Hmmm...Who would you look at? Cooks or Schoon?

Dak did not choose wisely.
Perhaps the first read was Schoon and Dak was doing what's instructed by the play design. How difficult is it to understand the play was designed like this?

Of course if he looks to the right and Cooks was not open, what would you have said to that? Hey, Dak should have looked left.

Ferg going over the top meant the defender didn't have to go over the top. You want to force the defender over the top to create the space required.
You can't "force" them to do anything.

What did Ferg/Lamb do differently? From what I can tell, nothing. It's the defenders who reacted differently, not the receivers doing something different.

This was happening on the other side.

There you have it. Poor execution. Teams run routes that find guys wide open for a reason. No problem with Dak going that way....just poor execution by the "help" receiver and the intended receiver. The little things that count and perhaps a lack of attention to details. We're eight weeks in, OTAs, training camp, and preseason. Maybe a remedial session needs to occur. Tired of hearing we'll bounce back......How 'bout bouncing now.

Don’t worry about it. Had he went to Cooks the wonderful and fair minded reds likely call PI on Lamb.

Yeah too bad there was a free rusher coming from the other side. If Dak had half a second maybe it have been different. Doesn't look like he had any choice but to get rid of the ball or take a sack.

That is never getting called ever. He did not even turn him or cause him to be falling. He was already falling to catch the pass.
Agree, that was just a good play. He didn't tackle him, he came over in front of him as they were both reaching.

I find it odd that the first read was to the left. I don't blame him for making the throw: Schoonmaker is open and just has to get forward a few inches, you don't come off of that in hopes of something better. But why is that the first read and not the Lamb-Cooks side? Something to do with how the defense lined up?
I would think if lamb really is our 1wr, and cooks is the crafty vet...why not read that side 1st?

Odd.

Blitz came from his right and forced him left
No, this was his first and only read the whole play.

But you are right. In the end it also forced him to go left. But the pressure had no influence on his decission.

But this is not on him. Ferguson's fault.

I feel for Cooks. He's had several of these moments where he's there; it just doesn't come to him.
I feel bad for him too but only to certain degree.

What i dont understand is that he signed here knowing what kind of QB we have.
So i feel for him but its his own fault to be honest.

If he does it right, Ferg or Lamb get an offensive PI CALLED ON THEM!!

Can you explain one thing for me?

1. What did Ferguson do differently than Lamb, exactly?

He avoided the rub on the CB which was his first and only task on this play.

EDIT:
Seriously watch the play: He not only didnt rub the CB. I mean he had the chance and you can see he avoids the contact consciously.
I couldnt believe my eyes. The guy must be freaking stupid. I cant explain it else.
