Can’t disagree with that.Even unproven rookies are better than sticking with guys that are consistently missing. Try SOMETHING. ANYTHING!

And yet we know that inferior kicking will lose us games.Somehow they have one of the best rosters in the league.
Where did I say there are great kickers available?Where did I say we’re fine at kicker? All I’m saying is you’re sifting through trash looking at kickers this time of year. They all have consistency issues, which is why they’re available, but some of you act like there’s great kickers out there but the Cowboys refuse to sign them. Lol
They need that cap $ plus the fact the cap is going up next season gives them the flexibility to pull the trigger on some bad decisions they have made.At kicker we have a totally unproven guy that even if he turns out good will at best be as Gould last year and at worst kills our season?
At runningback we are putting all our faith that Pollard stays healthy and if he gets hurt then what we have no proven backs behind him?
At oline we have 5 good starters but any injury and it will immediately fall apart?
We have 18 million dollars in cap money? Make one year deals? There is legitimately no excuse to take so many risks on what should be a contending team. To me it feels like they want to be competitive but don't want to take the necessary steps to actually push us over the top.
He hasn't been inferior so far. So, actually we don't know. And yet we know that inferior kicking will lose us games.
Look....not sure why the kicking question has you accusing me of not supporting my team. Weird.
The RB questions....have potential to be very good. But it's only potential right now. I think the RBs on roster are fine, IF....we have a more solid and healthy O-line. AND a better player and overall game day scheme.
We have a great RB coming off injury and never truly being the defenses' #1 target. We have some young and very young unproven RBs.
A deadly passing game...apparently...should also help free up the runs.
I can have these questions and still....cheer them on with all my heart. mkay?
I've just come to the conclusion the FO doesn't really care about winning a superbowl as much as being 'good enough' to keep ticket sales going. At kicker we have a totally unproven guy that even if he turns out good will at best be as Gould last year and at worst kills our season?
At runningback we are putting all our faith that Pollard stays healthy and if he gets hurt then what we have no proven backs behind him?

On paper, that seems great, but records don't carry over from year to year, so although guys played 12 and 5 last year, that doesn't mean we'll have the same success this year. We need to give ourselves the best shot to win, which is why we should be plugging in those obvious holes.I am too. A 12-5 playoff team improved significantly.
Kickers can lose games, but they're never the reason a team is a contender. Even the best kickers can miss huge kicks. Ask the 2005 Colts and the 1998 Vikings.Well, an established kicker would give me greater confidence than a rookie.
Maher had a great regular season, and like you said jumped in the toilet post season. Not really, it’s just they’re all streaky. They can go into a funk at any time. Brett Maher was money until nearing the end of last season when all of a sudden he began to struggle with PAT’s.
There aren't many options any more. The opportunity to fix the OL and K should have been done months ago.
I suspect we'll be scouring the cuts lists for OL help, however.
It’s the best predictor that we’ve got.On paper, that seems great, but records don't carry over from year to year, so although guys played 12 and 5 last year, that doesn't mean we'll have the same success this year.
I think that an objective look around the league shows that the Cowboys have far fewer “obvious holes” than most of the NFL.We need to give ourselves the best shot to win, which is why we should be plugging in those obvious holes.
BECAUSE THIS IS THE COWBOYS, WE WAIT UNTIL BAD THINGS HAPPENS TO FIX THEMAt kicker we have a totally unproven guy that even if he turns out good will at best be as Gould last year and at worst kills our season?
At runningback we are putting all our faith that Pollard stays healthy and if he gets hurt then what we have no proven backs behind him?

You are 100 percent wrong. They are trying to win and have done a good job of building this team.I've just come to the conclusion the FO doesn't really care about winning a superbowl as much as being 'good enough' to keep ticket sales going.
Like we have huge obvious holes and they ALWAYS get exposed when we go against the best teams in the playoffs, hence never getting past the 2nd round in almost 30 years.
That is true. I never said he was. We shall see. I love having just a decent kicker.....one that can hit the extra points and OCCASIONAL fgs.He hasn't been inferior so far. So, actually we don't know.
Wasn't there a chargers team recently that had the number 1 defense and offense but missed the playoffs due to shakey kicking?Kickers can lose games, but they're never the reason a team is a contender. Even the best kickers can miss huge kicks. Ask the 2005 Colts and the 1998 Vikings.
You pretty much insinuated I said we’re fine at kicker. I never came close to saying we’re fine at kicker. I said some of you act like they’re great kickers available. You claimed we mismanaged at kicker. How so?Where did I say there are great kickers available?
Two can play that game.
It was only an observation that I have questions there. Never said there's a solution.
