Why do many on this board want Kellen Moore fired?

Makes so sense to me. The team is averaging 36 points per game since Dak got back and he was rusty against Detroit. The team is averaging 28.1 points overall with Dak and Rush combined. I don't get it. Is he perfect. No. But you show me one OC that is. He is an excellent OC in my opinion.

Think about this. The Cowboys just dropped 40 points on a top 2 defense. Let that sink in.
Ummmmm, allow me to take a stab……… BECAUSE HE SUCKS AT CALLING PLAYS LIKE THROWING TO GUYS LOOKING BACK INTO THE SUN and ALWAYS RUNNING ON FIRST DOWN???

Nope. Jerry Jones for not understanding the DT position and the enormous impact it has in the playoffs. No, 3rd rounders w/ no sand in their pants is not addressing the position.

You've been on this bandwagon for a while and I somewhat agree with you and commend you for your consistency. this has been a largely ignored part of our team building philosophy and that falls squarely at the feet of the GM

That said--let me rephrase. For the majority of people, if the Cowboys don't win the Super Bowl or make a deep run, it's either going to be Moore's fault or Dak's.

Very few will look anywhere else than those two.

I don't want him fired. I want him strapped to a satellite rocket bound for deep space with a ETA of 2053. That oughta keep him off the sidelines.

I wanted him gone last season and earlier this season but I can see him evolving his play calling to adjust to what teams are doing to the cowboys. The cowboys are near the top of the league in offense. Both the run and pass games are rolling. Hes got Dak playing at a high level. Kellen might have to stick around a bit longer!

If he continues it into the playoffs I will alter my stance.. but if they crater again in the biggest moments because he keeps calling the delay handoff that doesn't block the backside DE and he calls 3 verticals on 3rd and medium or if he just dials up 50 pass plays when the running game is averaging 6 yards a pop.. I will be right here leading the charge to get him the hell out of Dallas.

This is the problem with this fan base and the Jones family. They see all these STATS and think it's doing something great for us, what about the small things like bad play calling, and situational awareness?? None of that matters to you because of stats! What are our stats in the playoffs?? I'll wait, time for fresh new ideas

exactly....I am sick and tired of the run play where the WR runs across the formation, slows down just before the ball is snapped and tries to block the end...I mean he telegraphs that play and everyone knows its coming. so its a bit of a garrett streak relying too much on perfect execution....even my teenage kids see that formation and play and call a run up the middle.....he is very streaky in his play calling. and his game management as you said, feel for the game leaves a lot to be desired.

I love this post, I used to call it the NOAH brown run play! Years ago it was Noah always in motion and it was ALWAYS a run, why not pass off of that or try something different my gosh

now, he does it with CD as well.....I mean, he has to run other plays from that formation at least a few times to give defense something to think about....its ridiculous

Still too predictable. Yes the stats speak for themselves, and the defense been giving up more points as well.

But Moore's offense is like Garrett / Lineman tree. Defenses still knows what is coming. So it depends upon matchups as well. We always matched up well with the Eagles, and basically out man them.
Other defense such as SF, not so much. Heck we even have a tough time the GB & TB as well.

They need more creativity to overcome those teams. Also our WR's never seem to be wide open as other teams. And it is not because those teams skill players are better.
When was the last time we seen one of our WR wide open or lead a defender by 2 or 3 yards. The exception being CeeDee in the Eagles game, from supposedly a blown coverage.
Hilton's catch was just a great throw and catch, as the defense was all over him.

KC has receivers open all the time, SF as well, and deep. GB, they are coming around. Miami, if Tua is not getting sacked, LAC at times.
Moore can't scheme anyone open.

The run game is the same plays over and over, with Zeke and Pollard, they should be getting more yards. Could be the blocking schemes as well.

PLEASE DON'T MAKE ANOTHER POST!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE POST OF YOUR LIFE, I'VE DREAMED YOU'D MAKE ME HAPPY! So true!!!!! I made a post about this why aren't our guys never as open as other teams. It's like every drive there's big plays and out guys are LAGGING BEHIND somewhere, yet we come out and it's a struggle for us to have those results

That's a good point. Some consistency in his play calling would be nice. There are times he's so creative and his play calling so effective......then the next series there's a weird trick play for minus 5 yards. Or the next game there's no creativity, no wr motion, just plain ole vanilla JG styled offense. I'm right there with you though, this post season Kellen needs to bring his A+ game!

yea, I used to hear the same garbage about Dez and his horrible route tree.....

i wish we were less predictable... we might have a top 5 offense if we had a better coach.

I'm not talking about the players abilities to run routes, just Moores inability to have creative routes. Dez complained about a predictable offense.

BREAKING NEWS: Did anyone ever think that the players would take too long to learn a new offense, this is more so about keeping Dak happy??

DEz wasnt complaining about the offense when he was getting double digit td catches from Romo. Dak today is not the same Dak in his 1st two seasons.

Was the routes by Lamb predictable? Thy showed the Eagles thinking Lamb was breaking into the middle as he faked in and went out on his TD catch.... predictable, right?

Same with Garrett. This team is achieving what it is "in spite" of KM. How about that trick play that killed us a couple of days ago? Desperate teams call trick plays. We just need to line up and play football. His trick plays rarely work and they usually end up in a loss in yardage.

I agree about his trick plays. Like you said, they usually get blown up. A lot of times they're slow developing which gives the defense time to break it up.
You can be creative without getting overly cute. K. Moore likes those slow developing overly cute plays that might've worked in college but not in the NFL.

Too predictable.
Not as efficient in the red zone as an offense like ours should be.
Vanilla routes.
Experimenting with our offense while wasting precious years with the talent he has assembled.
Give us a competent offensive coordinator over the Garrett/Moore years, and we likely would have at the very least made it to the NFC Championship.

It appears he doesn't run different plays off the same formation, or its Dak that runs the same plays out of those formations. Anyway, every team in the league seems to track tendencies and by damn they have figured out his. The reason we win more then we loose is better talent overall then most teams. For God sakes look at some of the trash teams in this league. They have zero depth and that's where good GM's and coaching matters. I crap on Jerry all the time like most of us do, but most of his teams are competitive, they just suck at winning the big one.

BTW, Hackett who was just fired by Denver had a great resume when he was hired. Denver was picked by many to be right there fighting it out with KC in that Division and they flat out sucked. Hackett wasn't ready for prime time. He looked great in Green Bay because he had Rodgers at QB and up till this year they (GB) had a ton of weapons. Lots of teams look good with All Pro QBs and talent all across the Offensive side of the ball. What they do when things turn bad is just as important. .
