Your right he didn't have to go to NFLE, he could have said no and just gotten released now instead of this summer.

Face it....Henson is in 'survival' mode, and he's doing what he can to stave off elimination in the minor leagues. (NFLE)

I'm not fooled by any of it...too bad you henstud supporters can't realize what's REALLY going on with this entire situation.

you're right man. most sane people take heavy note of the mental capacity of those who worship dwarven qb's on guitar with bowing smiley hands on either side.

it's a sure sign of "lord that man knows his stuff!" if i ever saw it.

Other - I like Henson.

I believe in him. I think he has a very good chance at being our next great QB.

He's 26 years old....even if by some miracle he hangs around the depth charts he wouldn't have a chance to start in Dallas until at least 2008...assuming that Bledsoe has retired his cannon that early. ;)
What's the problem with that?

I don't know who started this thread, but people do not hate Drew Henson. People are just skeptical about a guy who now plays football because he couldn't make it in baseball. The NFL was not Henson's first choice. Yes he is talented, but he has had an extremely long layoff. I really hope he is the quarterback of the future, but I would have much more faith in Jay Cutler or Brady Quinn.

Bledsoe4MVP.

I hope Bledsoe does stay healthy all year. But you better hope he does to. If he goes down for 4 or more weeks he will not get his job back from Henson.

Henson is learning and improving really fast in NFLE.

He has some things that Bledsoe does NOT have.

1. Pocket awareness. Something you either are good at or you are not. Henson has very good pocket awareness.

2. Mobility. Henson is much more mobile athletic and faster.

3. Throwin on the run. Henson can throw extremely hard on the run and across his body to. Something Bledsoe is not as good at.

I said 'the fans' that hate him.....I didn't say that I hate him personally.....

You didn't have to. You're opinion is already quite obvious.

I'm just more astute than others and realize that Henson wouldn't be in NFLE if he was a legit, starting calibur NFL QB.

Well, Delhomme is a legit starting QB in the NFL and he went to Europe, so that blows that theory out of the water.

Also I'm not fooled by his mediorce performance over in Europe either.

Sorry, but any objective observer would note that a QB rating of over 100 in a few games is not mediocre. Also, a 4-0 record isn't mediocre as well.

Henstud might end up making a fine back up someday in the NFL, but it won't be for the cowboys.

Really? You can see into the future?

You call it man love, but in reality it's enthusiasm.....I'm excited that we have one of the all time greats leading this team. And even though he's not fresh out of washington state anymore, he's still only 34 and has at least 3 very good seasons left if he stays healthy and is surrounded with sufficient talent on offense. I want to win now.....not later.

You have no clue on how many "very good" seasons he has left. Last season wasn't even a "very good" season for him. But, I'm sure you'll say he was surrounded by lesser talent due to injuries.

Ah, I see a little hypocrisy in your quest to repeatedly denigrate Henson. Bledsoe is awesome as long as he's surrounded by sufficient talent on offense. But Henson is just mediocre when he puts up comparable numbers when surrounded by lesser talent. Sorry, but you can't have it both ways.

Note: my criticism of Bledsoe is only in contrast to your anti-Henson agenda to display how you suffer from glass-house syndrome. I like Bledsoe, but he's got his own limitations.

And, by the way, your sig pic is completely out of proportion and a really bad photoshop job.

Did you just copy and paste your earliar post? We get it.

Yes, watching 4 NFL Europe games is enough to determine Henson has bettter pocket awareness than one of the all time leaders in the sport of football.

Sorry, where do you get that I said I had a problem with players wanting to get experience? I said I had a problem with all of the "football is in my heart" routine instead of the 'I failed miserably at baseball, so I figured what the hell, why not football" routine which more than likely is closer to the truth.

why do you and many people, blame Henson for choosing to follow his 1st love, baseball? dont' jump on Henson because he has the talent to play professionally in 2 sports, if things aren't going well for him in baseball, how can you blame him for wanting to try to succeed in football? walking away from a guaranteed contract from the Yankees, a big one I might add, to being a step behind the game in football, with no guarantees, shows that Henson going back to football wasn't merely a decision based on failing in baseball

Saying Henson had the talent to play baseball professionally is like saying Rick Mirer had the talent to play football professionally. It means nothing. When the going got hard for him, he ducked out and conviently claimed a change in heart. You think the Yankees were going to keep paying him that guaranteed contract to hit barely above .200?

the fact remains that Henson turned down a gurantee, a multi-million contract, to go to a situation with no guarantee, football, going back to football actually made it harder on himself

I picked Baseball... he was actually a NEW YORK YANKEE!!!

everytime I see AROD hit 3 HRs ina 12 run blowout I cant help but think of HENSON!!!

But i have to admit... I hate BABE LAUFENBURG too!

the thing I hate is when people say "Henson is better than Carter" like that is a great accomplishment/ or even a compliment... thats like RAVEN fans saying Kyle Boller was better than Eric Zeier!

But the thing I hate more than anything about HENSON is that people say he looks like TROY AIKMAN... outside of skin tone HENSONs game looks nothing like TROYs! u cant even compare the 2 unless u are on drugs!!!

I have to admit that throwing motion is kinda cool! a Cross between Bernie Kosar and John Elway....

his yankee deal was bigger

Seeing as how his MLB baseball hopes were pretty much over by the end of 2002, he probably would have gotten boughten out or renegiotiated to a deal that suited his skill level.

some find it ok to speculate when it helps their argument but they sure hate it when the same speculation is used against them.
