Why isn’t Stephen Jones doing his job?

Teams like the Rams take advantage of teams like the Cowboys.

Those teams would rather use their 1st round picks on proven players instead of hoping they hit on someone that may or may not turn out a high level player with that pick.

Basically, the Cowboys would trade Micah Parsons for two 1st round picks before they would ever trade two first round picks for Micah Parsons.
So true!!
Proven players have proven the can play in the NFL. Draft picks have not. You would think Dallas would understand this since they won Superbowls picking up Deon Sanders and especially Charles Haley.

So many teams in the last 10-15 years have won Superbowls because they added a Free Agent or two to put them over the top.

Because we have one of the worst FOs in the league.

In contrast Philly has a top ten pick next year from the Saints bc they fleece teams

Oh, and to answer the question, because he is not a football guy and has no clue how to run an NFL franchise.

You should know by now that the Cowboys don't trade away draft picks. They want more picks if anything. Lose or win that is the way they roll. Obviously, unless they get picks, they don't have anyone they want to trade away.
No wonder its been 100 years since we sniff a Super Bowl

Not quite but, 26 years for sure. Jerry doesn't believe in the Cowboys having a really bad year because the Cowboys are a business. You have to draft a
really good QB prospect in the top two or three draft picks to turn a franchise around. They don't care if you get upset because they never win SB's as long as you keep buying seat licenses and their junk. Jerry's billions keep growing and that is the winning ticket.
