Yeah, the Dak haters. It just goes to show that they have no clue what they’re talking about by hating on Dak and thinking Rush is the better QB.

Everyone knows Rush is a backup QB at best. It’s just a chance to take as many jabs at Dak as possible until he returns. The minute Dak struggles, and you know he will, we’ll see countless threads on how Rush is the better QB, etc. Dak’s career may go the way of Romo, but I can tell you that your franchise is in extreme rebuilding mode if Rush is your #1.

Should’ve been 3.

This is pretty funny considering how many near interceptions Dak has had over the years. Dak played crappy ball the first game and also several games last season against better competition. He has to play much better to justify the contract and win his detractors over. Until he does-there will be doubters.

Starts with Rush have given the Cowboys 22.67 PPG. Not bad-not great. I guess you could keep reciting the stats for the offense including the terrible game started by Dak. I don’t care who starts at QB, as long as the offense puts up decent PPG. Last season’s numbers were better, but lots of the points were scored directly by special teams and the defense. No scores like that this year yet.

Nah. Effective in this case is scoring enough points to win the game. I’m not one of the those fans arguing that the 26th ranked offense is somehow better than the #1 ranked offense from last year because we are playing our backup QB. No way. I look at it as, playing from under center more will get teams out those 2 high safety looks and will provide QB1 with more exploitable defensive looks when he returns.

BUT…I think the Cowboys should hold off on putting him back on the field until he can take snaps under center with that thumb.

The offense will look just as crappy as parts of last year and week 1 of this year if we are in shotgun every play when Dak returns.

100%… more snaps under C and working off traditional PA passes will only help. Shotgun sets have been schemed now and our tendencies out of those looks are now telegraphed.

Unless Dak does it.

Then we forget football 101 and post a 40-page thread on the front of this site about how stupid he is and how we need a real qb. We then mulch over the same 4 or 5 digs on him and drag up articles from 2019 AND a botched smoke screen from his rookie year.

Sprinkle a few taken out-of-context/exaggerated quotes and that should cover it.

You really have to let go of your affinity for Dak.

I care who starts because if it’s Rush, the defense has to win games.

Somebody did mention that, actually. Copycat! Although, that might've been in the Early Game thread.

Thanks bro....you know how we love to use these comparisons that mean next to nothing because of about a million different variables. Lol

...nor the Dak lovers that see Dak as never doing any wrong and getting credit for any and all success.

It’s a team game like you guys say. Offense is scoring points. Defense is preventing the other team from scoring as many points. Rush is obviously contributing to an average offense. Better than quite a few starters production. 22.67 PPG is not nothing. I can agree that he does not look like a franchise QB. I’m of the opinion that neither QB is the answer for the position.

Our offense was allegedly 1st last year...and what did it do for us?: Got our Ax bounced out right quick.

So your cute little offense ranking STAT doesn't mean sheet.

But you go ahead and keeping hating on Cooper to elevate Dak.
You would have a point if dak was a turnover machine like jameis Winston that was giving the other team points but he isnt. Our defense is playing lights out. And special teams has been great. Football is a team game. Only inbreds would credit rush with these wins

Yet people credit Dak with wins so how is that possible?

You are making up stuff in your head.....afraid somebody might not like Dak.

I didn't start a thread about it Steve.

I merely pointed out the obvious. Instead, people went into lamenting mode and started RUING that we didn't have Amari to run an uncovered slant route.
I didn't say you did.

Since when does "somebody" mean YOU?

You guys are making up stuff in your head...not thinking rationally. It's weird.

Rush is playing great for a backup. But come on man, he wouldn’t be a starter on any team in the NFL. Do you even watch the games?
Again....I never said Cooper would start on another team.

Where do you people come up with this stuff sheesh!

So if the Bengals beat the Ravens this week they will have a winning record, and they’re were a SB team last season.

So does that count as a quality team and a winning record. Or does the 0-1 records (a game they should have won) still count as beating a losing team. But are now 2-2.

If we beat the Rams with a 2-2 record, does that count as a losing record since they will be 2-3. Though they were not a losing team when we beat them. Nor a winning team.

I guess it depends on the narratives and agendas. This beating teams with winning or losing records goes for many if not all teams and QB’s.

Everyone already knows this.

You can figure out why Romo's percentage against winning teams was better?

Because we had a top 5 offense when we won those games. Do we really credit flacco with a SB win or the ravens defense that year? I know this is a lot to ask but try not to be ignorant

when trying to determine why the offense is not producing people will look to stats. Cowboys have not been good on 3rd down, we are ranked 30th. In the end all I care about is the win but when looking at overall reasons why offense is ranked low yeah stats tend to give a reason for it. Again we are tops in the NFL in not turning the ball over, that is a big stat especially for an offense that is not producing

Yeah, but the part about the offense not producing is about to end, starting with this game, I suspect.
