The 2004 team didn't even have any talent...period.

Anyhow-you know what I find so odd about this year's team? (T)eam (O)bliviator is the ONLY one on the team who's vocal and has a passion. Who would have thought?

Thats debatable. I think this team has some locker room issues and I think they started when owens ran his mouth after the Commanders loss. The guy has gone 11 games without having a 100 yard game. He isnt much of a leader in my opinion and when he is running his mouth it is usually something to prop himself up.

The 04 team didnt have that much talent and they didnt have a quarterback and the two close losses to the giants and steelers led to a blowout in gb just like today that iced the season. It all started with wittens fumble right before the half against ny. INstead of taking a lead and the momentum we gave away the ball, lost the game and never recovered.

Romo's throw to horton and the loss to the cardinals could in the long run end up resulting in the same thing. At least then we had some coaches who were going to hold players accountable and no one was above the organization. Now the coaches all seem to look at each other wondering whos in charge and the players are all above the coaches because of Jerry.

Its a sad state of Affairs with no answers. We have 9 games left and I suspect every week is up and down, I doubt we have been blown out for the last time.

I said today was not a "must win." I'm singing a different tune about next week.

The only thing giving me hope, as pathetic as it sounds, is that we are at the point that the Giants were last year and they are where we were at this point last year.

Last year, the Giants were pretty much done and everyone had given up on him. Coughlin was always looking like he was about to cry and all of New York was calling for his head. On the other side, we were riding all high and mighty. Well the Giants turned their season around somehow and wound up winning the Superbowl while we watched it on TV. Maybe there will be a role reversal this year.

that's a good comparison

but they have guys like Antonio Pierce, Brandon Jacobs, Plaxico Burress who want to go out and make the opponent look bad, notice how they always get up for us and are always taunting and talking **** during games?

while we have guys who just want to collect a paycheck, a few might celebrate after a play

no pride

Well before the thread gets highjacked by the change the coach or entire defensive scheme why don't we talk some football about what actually happened today.

Thanks for staying positive, but that was a hell of a long time ago. There is no leadership on this team. I really think that they are done.

It's not over, but the fat chick on "Facts of Life" is warming up her vocal cords.

It's good to have hope. But, Wade is no Coughlin. This team is the softest team I have ever seen.

The Commanders game was supposed to be a wake up call, and we turned around and almost blew the Bengals game the next week. That game was then the new wake up call and we turn around and sleep walk most of the Cards game and lose. Then this today was supposed to be a major gut check and we proceed to get run out of the stadium.

I have yet to see any hint at all that this team has the character or heart to turn things around. I'm not saying it's out of the realm of possibility, they have shown zero signs they can do it and I'm not one to give into blind hope. And blind hope is all we have to go on at this point with this bunch.

I'm as negative as anyone right now, but you're right -- the season is not over.

We see time and time again in sports teams rally from holes. And when you step away and look at the big picture, this team's hole could be a lot worse considering we're still 4-3. Again, could be a lot worse record wise.

But talk is cheap, and this season will be over in due time unless the players and coaches take it upon themselves to ensure otherwise. All I'm seeing right now is an uninspired, out-executed team that looks more like one of the bottom-feeders than a powerhouse.

It can get turned around. But it needs to start happening soon. Seems like we've been talking for several weeks about "turning this thing around." Meanwhile, we're 1-3 over our last four games.

And it's not even December. What gives?

I have to admit ur right, this isnt the Giants from last year or steelers, our defense is horrible, just terrible and basically has been for a good while.Time for a 4-3 switch with a good coach?

For the longest time, I thought those crying for us to go back to the 4-3 were insane. Well maybe my eyes are finally starting to open. For whatever reason, what we are doing now is not working.

Move Ware and Spencer to 4-3 DE's, Ratliff and Spears to 4-3 DT's. Rotate Ellis, Canty, and Johnson into the lineup to keep the players fresh. Move James to MLB, Burnett to ROLB, and Thomas to LOLB. Heck, we might even find a use for Carpenter.

It's funny how some say it's TO dividing this team et al, but he's one of our FEW guys who are constructively vocal on this team.
sorry but TO screaming at Gurode while TO is getting his arse kicked at the line of scrimmage rings kind of hollow.

As long as Romo comes back fast, this season is not over.

Cute. No one is saying don't be critical. No problem with being mad enough to spit. Frustrated. Disappointed. Resentful. And if venting your anger is necessary please do.

I still think some talk about why we couldn't come back from two scores with BJ at the helm is a good way to start.

Why is BJ so out of sync? Did Garrett ask him to make throws he's not capable of doing well? Did the OL play well? Did they protect Johnson? That's a start for talking football rather than skipping all of that and making wild suggestions like changing to the 4-3 in the middle of the year. Surely as smart as you and others are you can see that and can contribute to the conversation.

The reasons we lost today are mainly the same problems we have been witnessing in spurts for some time now . . . . but here it goes.

1. Penalties

2. Turnovers on offense, and on defense we're having problems this year forcing them.

3. Bad Special Teams coverage units.

4. Poor tackling.

5. Team doesn't appear to be ready to play.

6. For whatever reason, we keep playing undisciplined, sloppy football.

Unfortunately or fortunately, the guy who is going to take the fall is the HC.

Look, for all of JJ's faults, and he has them, he HAS put together a pretty good cast of players this year, all in all.

I think MOST people agree that there is talent on this team.

But for whatever reason, the team is playing poorly.
