Will Romo run for TD or 1st Down when needed?

I'm living in the past by answering a question someone decided should be a thread and a good topic of discussion. I see you have added so much intelligent points to this thread.
I guess if someone believes Romo could lead our team effectively then they are living in the past. What a narrow trollish position to take.

Boy I'm glad I had this enlightenment from you today. Super!

Congrats.. you are now on my ignore list with other Romo homers living in the past.

No, you don't gain jack squat with Romo other than experience but Romo is shown over and over he doesn't learn from his mistakes. Dak is leading the team to victory every single week. What more do you want? Dak is our guy now.. Romo needs to be traded for some defensive help on the line.

You Romo haters never learn. Just keep spouting your nonsense ad nauseam.

Tell that to Brady/Roethlisberger/Wilson/Both Mannings/Flacco/Drew Brees and others. Romo can't even make it to the NFC Championship game. Pretty pathetic after 13 years.

You literally just provided the perfect example for "deflection." You in no way rebutted anything that was said.

Nobody is claiming Tony Romo is Rodgers, unfortunately Rodgers is one of 3 QB's the league has ever seen that when he is on, it doesn't matter what else is going on around him, he's going to win the game.

Are you insinuating that Dak is Rodgers?

I am implying that people make excuses for Romos non-existent postseason success .

Andrew Luck, who hasnt been in the league for 13 years, has already more playoff wins than Romo... and Luck was drafted by a 2-14 team.

Lets not forget that Chiefs/Colts playoff game, where Luck was missing his starting OL, starting RB, starting TE, and had a horrible defense that allowed the Chiefs to score 44 points.. poor, poor Andrew Luck couldnt score more than 3 points that game because (excuses beginning right now) he didnt have his starting OL, RB, TE, and a horrible defense...

wait.. wait, you mean to tell me Luck actually scored 45 points and won that game? Colts fans didnt have to make any excuses for Luck because he actually carried his team to a win even though he hasnt been in this league for 13 years and was drafted by a 2-14 team?? Unbelievable!

If Romo ever starts for the Cowboys again, and WHEN he eventually throws multiple game ending picks, whats going to be the excuses? Boy o boy, I cant wait.

I keep seeing people say Dak needs to remain the starter because the team is winning. How do you know the team won't continue winning with Romo? Think back to 2014, when we had the dominant run game. Romo played at an MVP level. I'm going to believe he can continue doing that until he shows me that he can't.

No offense Chiilds play but I'm going to have to put you on ignore too. Just don't feel like debating the Romo topic anymore with blind fans. No success with him in over a decade and now he is old and feeble. Has missed over 2 full seasons since he started too.. so happy we have Dak now. I won't be able to see your posts anymore pal.. so don't respond to mine.

Who cares? We are winning. The reason you play the game is to win... we are getting exactly what we want and our NEW qb is an absolute beast.

Think back to 2014, when we had the dominant run game.

Why? We are in 2016 now and have won 5 games straight and look unstoppable. Who cares about 2014? That was 2 years ago and multiple Romo surgeries ago. If Dak falls apart somehow, then Romo can have his shot. Dak has earned the role now with outstanding play.

mind explaining that?

Just look it up. He performed the best in the post season that year (125.7 rating - should have been higher - thanks, refs). The only one that played in more than one game who had less than 2 interceptions (he had 0 - Brady had 4, Wilson 5, Rodgers 2, Luck 4).

Wow, you're just ridiculous. I care because Romo is a better QB and can succeed where Dak falls short. Dak is far from a beast.

I reference 2014 because it is similar to this team. Amazing run game and mediocre defense. We saw what Romo did with that team. I have no reason to believe a collarbone injury (which he suffered before then came back and played at a high level) and a back injury (which he has had before only to come back and play at a high level) will stop him from returning to play at a high level.

Obviously, you don't see it that way and are completely blind to any argument outside your own though...

My question is, what gives you the idea that he has what it takes to make it to the NFC Championship game, the Super Bowl, and actually win it when he's had all of those years to do it?

I don't get why it has to be extremes around here. Just because you are pro Romo, doesn't mean you hate Dak, or vice versa. Sheesh. Some of y'all act like this is a Biggie vs Tupac, East Coast-West Coast beef.

You can like both.

So then there should be an undefeated team every year, right? The team with the best QB.

Dilfer and Brad Johnson were the best QBs in those respective years.

Brees has been a crap QB the last few years, etc. etc.

Like I said, your foolishness is on full display, yet again.
The best and most poised QBs are usually competing in the NFC Championship and AFC Championship games. If those QBs can't make it there, they are trash. Fact.

Romo usually almost always plays at that level IN THE REGULAR SEASON! You guys forget there's another season right? It's called the POST SEASON. You know, the place where Roger Staubach and Aikman did their best work? The place where Romo's done his worst work, on the small occasion he's actually made it there.

The fact that he's a great QB and I am not a complete moron that thinks QBs win instead of teams.

Your argument is based on idiocy. The lack of consistency proves it.

Where is Brees with a terrible defense?

It's the team, team, team.

I think Romo is more "evasive" than Dak is.

You guys are acting like Dak is Russell Wilson back there.
I was actually referring to Romo losing some of his evasiveness. Due to his injuries, age, and now subconscious fear of getting hit. We will see but I do think his game is alot more subdued and will be than Dak's.

lol.. I just don't know what to even say to you. You are blinded by your love of Romo. Dak is doing EVERYTHING he needs to do to win games and can certainly do things Romo can't. We have a 5 game win streak going which looks like it could turn into 7 plus games and you are chomping at the bit for Romo who has been through multiple surgeries in the last few years? Get used to Dak pal.. he will be our starter and you will like it.
