Will The Yankees and Mets Win More Than 80 Games This Year?

Mets are doing their typical June Swoon. The management will wait just long enough and not do anything so they can say there is no reason to trade their young assets for this year. They are already talking that next year is the year to compete. What a bunch of morons running that zoo. Sandy Alderson is a joke of a GM and the Wilsons are the joke owners of baseball. Thanks Bud Selig for keeping those idiots around.

Wrong.

It's early.

Usually AFTER all star break.

Imagine where they wold be if you were GM? Trading Colon. 1 1/2 games back would be 8 1/2 games back.

Lol

Pfft, they have lost five in a row, been no hit, beat up, and overmatched since their April win streek. And Colon has been as erratic as anything, 9 wins and all. If i was the GM, I would definitly trade Colon. Matz would have been up six weeks ago and probably been as effective as a Colon that is effective every other start. Matz could take his place without any problem. I would take Flores off of short because not only is he limited physically he is limited mentally in playing the position. How many mental days does he have to have off because he gets too overwhelmed. How many major leagues have to have a mental day off anyway. Move him to 3rd and figure out what to do with him if/when Wright does not return. Put Tejada back at short. Why in the heck is he playing 3rd base anyway when two months into the season we all see that Flores can not do it. Not that Tejada is all that but he is a better alternative defensively than Flores. Time to realize that Curtis Granderson is not a lead off hitter. He cant run anymore and his hitting is just a tad bit better. But he takes a walk twice a week so he is the best the Mets have. The only thing going for the Mets now is their pitching. But unless the pitchers pitch a shuthout they usually get beat. What a joke. I have never seen a major league infield as pathetic as the Mets run out there on a nighly basis.

Pfft... Yeah... I said "early"

Again, the mets said in 2012.. Wait until 2013... Then wait until 2014. They are in WIN NOW MODE.
Again. You don't trade the guy who is probably going to challenge winning 20 games.

You just don't.

The Mets are not in "win now" mode. Young pitching staff, just need the position players to match.

They need some younger guys like the Astros have :(

Again, in order to be in a win now mode, the GM would have to make significat trades before the deadline.....something that they will not do.

Win Now mode with this defense and offense? Not even hardly. They are even leaks now stating that 2016 is "really" the year. Until 2016 when it becomes 2017. Why am I a Mets fan? I could travel an hour to watch what a real low budget team does with great defense and pitching but I keep waiting for the MEts to do something. Suck me in and it is the same ol same ol. Plan on the Mets getting rid of Harvey in the next year because the managment will not want to negotiate with Scott Boras. The management of this team and direction is a complete disaster.

Mets and Cubs are discussing a Baez swap. Of course Sandy will want to trade Dillon Gee for Baez and the Cubs will want something more and then the deal wont get done.

I would almost bet money that Sandy Alderson is a direct descendant of Captain Edward J Smith.

Wow.
How were the mets ever in first place? Were the other teams sleeping?

They should get Tulowitski and another bat.
You almost want to commend them for doing as much as they did with what they have.

The Yankees aren't too much better...but they are...better!

Aces are:

Pineda
Tanaka
Nova

Without arod, tex and Gardner... We would have no offense.

The Mets were in first place more because of the Nats problems than anything the Mets were doing. If the Nats were playing up to 1/2 of their capability the rest of the East would be 15 or more games behind.

Well they still had to win the games. They did.

Been watching Mets and Brewers. Up 2-0 in 9th with the Mets real Ace Jacob deGrom looking great. deGrom is now out after 100 pitches which means Familia will come in for his first action in a week and will most likely give up the lead. Even Michael Cadaver got a hit today. Four hits in one inning produced one run. Seriously. Cadaver got thrown out at home. Mets challenged and lost but then had no challenge on another bad call by ump.

Sandy Alderson had a Presser today and said ownership has given him the ok to make a move but he only has one bullet to be able to make a move. Hopefully, he will use that bullet and take out one of both of the Wilpons....

mets won today while getting only two hits. They do have a shot as long as the pitchers keep giving up one run or less.

The Yanks split 4 games with the Astros. It was an entertaining series to watch.

That made me laugh out loud!

I look around baseball and I see just one anemic offense after another. Today the Astros had a guy hitting 5th in the lineup with a .199 average.

Outside of a couple teams, you either hit homeruns and win or don't hit homeruns and lose.

Those combined with Syndergaard and Montero........pitching is set for awhile. Now, go get some bats!
