Ahem, that sound you just heard was a freight train known as the Toronto Blue Jay blowing by you guys. I dont know if they are going to lose again. You may want to set your sights on a wild card. You are not winning the division. Yankees have looked like the Mets usually look after the all star break.

Spoken like a fan that exaggerates the bad...... Then exaggerates the good lol

Pitching has been EXCELLENT during this losing streak. Ebb and flow.
The bats are slumping... Better now than in October.

The pitching and hitting will come together as one.

No "mets-like" panic here.... "Sandy... Sandy.... Wilpons..... Wahhhh"

THAT was a statement and reality check for Toronto.

The magical mystery ride HAD to come to an end.... And I don't mean the 11 game win streak. What they were doing to the yankees was akin to a fight where we were getting pummeled on the ropes only to land a vicious left hook by Beltran.(think Rocky vs the Russian...

Duke: [to Rocky] YOU SEE!? YOU SEE? He's not a machine, he's a man, he's a man.

Steal a victory when defeat looked certain.

Now, we see "WHATS UP"!!

As of today, Yankees hold a two game lead over Toronto in the ALEast, 5 games over Orioles with roughly 43 games left.

Yeah at some point the Blue Jays had to cool off.

Yeah, 14-1 was impressive but it was not going to last. 2-3 over their last 5 may or may not be a sign. I think they are better then that but I don't think they are 14-1 good. On the other hand, they don't need to be. If they are 7-3 good down the stretch, that might be good enough. Jays vs Yanks down the stretch is going to be huge. I think they have 7 games in the last 23. If one team can dominate in those last 7 head to head, that will likely decide the division. Orioles can play a big role as well. Jays have 9 games against last place teams down the stretch so that's to their advantage. 6 games against 4th placed Rays.

If the Mets had a bullpen......they would dangerous. Tired of seeing Parnell blowing games he shouldn't and a bunch of no-namers throwing meatballs :(

What is going to be worse? If we do win the division, Harvey and Synder will be shut down by then due to innings limit.

Oh, still waiting for the Captain to return...........

Stay tuned for tomorrow night in Denver........thin air and Colon don't mix well!

7 games left with Toronto
3 game lead in loss column

We need to cruise as we are. At the very least go 4-3 in 6 games.... Or even 3-4 vs Toronto and we are probably still ok.

Baltimore won't even make wild card.

Aa far as the mets... I see them losing the division somehow. They lose games that are are won.

i wont trust the Mets to win the division until they are two games up with one game to play. The melt down they had a few years ago where they were 9 games up with like ten to play has the worse. The only thing worse than that was my favorite football team up 15 pts with four minutes to play and then lose it. Two epic melt downs in my life time are enough.

Sabathia saw the end of the road two years ago. The only reason he is on the mound is because of money. If he was making baseball minumum he would have been released last year. He is done.

Mets lead the league in home runs and runs scored since July 25. Who woulda figured that out. If they can get the 7th inning guy figured out they may make it. If Verette can do what he did today as a 7th inning guy, that would be sweet. Of course I think the Rockies quit this weekend. That or the Mets just beat the competiton out of them.

Who would have thought that on August 23, 2015, the New York team in 1st place would not be the Yankees.

the Mets play the last three of the year against Washington. Hoping those guys are four games out at that time. September Mets baseball is going to drive me to pick up drinking.

I wonder if Sabathia's latest knee injury is the end of the road.

Stating the obvious. David Wright is in same boat. He tried, the Yankees tried.
The knee has been issue for years.

He's done.

This was thought to be a down year for Yankees. All credit to Girardi for what you see. He is a true baseball person.

If mets lose division it won't be because of that series.

Who is this team masking around as the Bash Bombers. Good night. I dont know I have ever seen the Mets just pummel people into submission. They are subbing in players every night and they are all contributing. Exciting times to be a Mets Fan.
