Well, button up for this one folks. It's cold as blazes and it ices over in nothing flat. It blew into New Mexico yesterday afternoon and it is going to be a pretty good blow. As it moves East, it's going to dump a lot of moisture.

Yeah even here in Houston we are expecting lows in the low 20's tonight. Thankfully I just had a new heater installed at my house since my old one went out last week. Sucked waking up in the mornings to a cold house would hate to deal with these extream temps.

Looking forward to the blizzard here today. Got off of work, which is awesome.

They shut down schools here also. Just a few inches of snow but very cold and dangerous wind chills with white out conditions. Last I checked it was 4 degrees and the wind chill was -24. Two days ago we set a record high of 72. Kansas weather......

We had a half an inch of snow this morning, but they aren't talking so much about snow as they are talking about lots of ice today. Most schools are closing early or just didn't open.

Snowing four inches an hour here in MO. I can't even see the neighbors' houses across the street.

I didn't know it could snow upside down.

It is not snowing upside down...you are just drunk and laying on your back.
:D

Almost nobody made it into work this morning here in North Texas except for the old guys that come in at 4AM before it started to freeze. Gonna be a long, boring day.

My work was cancelled for the first time I've ever seen in 5 1/2 years. I'm about to start an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia marathon. Dark humor for a dark day.

Yep. Keepen the brass monkeys in tonight. I'm telling you, it is cold. Brought a bottle of water with me, into work today. Left it in the truck and sure enough, just went out to get it and it was already freezing over. This is real bad for the old folks. If you have somebody close to you who is elderly or maybe your parents, best be sure to check in on them and make sure they are OK. Sometimes they may need a little help and by the time they realize it, it might be too late.

Just some thoughts.

You may not be far off.

I've taken so much benadryl the past few days, I'm a little spaced.

Just reminded me to call my Mom. I'm sure she's at home, but I'll give her a buzz when I leave the office.

Well, that was a fun drive to pick up my wife. Couldn't see a thing, especially the idiots in white cars without their lights on.

It is ridiculous out there now. Winds are gusting at 50 MPH and we are expecting 2 feet.

I'll be thinking about you while I'm at the beach tomorrow. :D

The USA has to catch up with the rest of the world with daytime running lights. I believe they are standard in most of the world now so no matter what your headlights are always on to some extent.

Having said that, I can't believe people drive around in snowstorms without their lights on.
