He won't restructure or take a pay cut. He's going to be close to $12,000,000 in dead money when we do the June 1st designation.

We're better off seeing what we can keep Pollard for and using a 2nd round pick like Nick Chubb, Derrick Henry (same draft as Zeke) and Jonathan Taylor's respective teams did.

Breece Hall (now hurt) 2nd round pick for the Jets and was lighting it up on a weak team.

Tony Pollard you pay but keep in mind he was a 4th round pick and doesn't have all the tread on his tires. Can't block though like the RB's mentioned.

I hope he does. Hopefully he recognizes he’ll never get 10 million again unless it’s on incintives
He will or he will get released. Either way is fine. They can cut Zeke and franchise tag Pollard and keep Davis and come up with a 3rd back from somewhere.

I'd prefer Zeke to just leave than take a pay cut. He wouldn't even be worth the reduced salary.
Unless you also invest in the oline....you'll have to draft a new QB too. Dak gets blasted.

Maybe you want that?

The same people who HATE zeke, and love Dak...refuse to recognize zeke made Dak. They just can't get their head around it...that;s what hate does to ya. But...it doesn't change the fact it's true.

I can see both/all sides of it.

Zeke has carved out quite a little niche in the backfield and a pay cut could splinter relations with the front office.

Zeke will absolutely not take a pay cut. His base salary for next year is guaranteed. No player gives back guaranteed money.

Pretty sure it’s not guaranteed. At least not according to spotrac or overthecap and media speculation about being his final year.

No you're confusing it was 2020 and 2021. At the start of the league year those two salaries were guaranteed.

That's not the case for 2023, none of his 10.9 million cash payout is guaranteed

To your last point guaranteed money has already been paid in years prior so I don't know why you're talking about giving it back ? The only physical cash payout he can receive next year is his base rate which is zero guaranteed
