Would you like to see Drew Bledsoe back next year?

So because he has an agenda makes you immune to the same ailment?

The cool thing about you is that even when you don't have a point you think you are schooling people.

Delusion rules!!

Check your own posts and all the arguing you did against Bledsoe not so much because you didn't like him but moreso because Nors DID like him.

You have what 20k posts and I am still waiting on you to make a relevant or revealing football point. 90% of your posts could be entitled "Posts by someone who likes to argue more than he likes football!"
:lmao2:

You have no point so bring up post count.

You're so far off base the pitcher could pick you off rolling the ball to the 1st baseman. You've got this Don Quixote fixation with protecting Nors from me. Now it's trasnferred to Big_Neil I suppose? There's 2 to draw to.

How many times have I said I like Drew Bledsoe? Get your facts straight if you can. Either that or wake up and pay attention.

I responded to someone who clearly isn't a Dallas Cowboys fan and is only here to promote his Drew Bledsoe agenda. For some unexplicable reason you decided I was picking on you. You were wrong. My apologies for pointing this out to you, but I felt you deserved to know the truth.

You upped the ante and threw it in my face that I have no possible answers to improve QB. Or have you forgotten the Bill Walsh reference?

Yet when I mentioned the name Daunte Culpepper suddenly your opinion changed. That's convenient JT. You went from "no one here has a better option" to "I like Daunte over Drew too."

I love irony.

You stood on a soapbox and preached contradicting sermons.

You responded angrily to me twice when I wasn't even talking to you. When I responded in kind you labeled me a bully.

All in all amigo, not your best day.

Wait a minute? We agree on a QB?

I was under the impression that there were no options. Now we have an option?

Or am I missing your point Because you've rambled so much?

You see, I'm perfectly aware of the fact you want me to bring up Drew Henson so you have actual ammo to use. I just don't feel the sting of Q was better than Hutch since I couldn't stand either option.

Well, here's your late Christmas present. I still believe we should have started Drew Henson from the Chicago game on last year. I believe "he could be ruined" is a cop out that indicates they have no confidence in their own coaching abilities. You don't have to agree, but I got a resume' too and the right to my opinion.

I believe the goal should be the Super Bowl and Drew Bledsoe has too many deficiencies to get us there. I believe we have no idea what Henson or Romo can do for this squad and that is a travesty.

Let the insults fly. You get to be the "bully."

I don't disagree that we should have played Henson last season.

I would disagree that we should go into next year with him as an expected starter(not that you said that). I wasn't just asking 'you' which QB, I am asking anyone who suggests we should cut bait. Same as I would with cutting Keyshawn or Terry Glenn or Glover or Ellis or many others. Average NFL starters at there positions are not so easily acquired as many like to think.

I want us to get better. I see us doing that by getting better up front and at free safety specifically.

I'll give you a potential real world example.

What if we are stitting at 18 and can drfat LaRon Landry, who you like, and could be reasonably expected to start for us for 10 years at Free Safety OR we can trade that pick and Glover to Minnesota for Culpepper? Ask me if I prefer Culpepper OR Landry, Bledsoe and Glover?

Granted we may just cut Glover so it could be moot but I'd probably have to think long and hard about 18 and Bledsoe versus Culpepper.

Not sure which would make the team better.

:bravo: This is exactly how I feel. Bill is too stubborn to do the right thing. We have wasted two years on old QB's who will not be our future. The future should have started at the end of last year!!!

Another QB that never won was Jim Plunket with the Patriots, He moseys over to the raiders and guess what he finds. Hmmmm... a lombardi trophy. The Snake sucked in Houston, Stabler moved to the Raiders and became a good QB. Didn't the skins win a superbowl with Doug Williams of the sucky Bucaneers, who moved to washington and won a damn SUPERBOWL.....imagine that.

Now what were you saying about a leopard never changing its spots? Superpunk knows what he speaks about.

Again feel respond to me directly not in third person. I promise I wont cry.

I like Culpepper and would prefer him to Bledsoe. Can we get him is the question? I'd also prefer Palmer, Manning or Staubach in his prime but it doesn't make it realistic.
The fact of the matter is JT you often bag on Spags but you're so much like him in some ways it's humorous. You have the "if he's so good why is he avialable" syndrome down pat.

I respond to other posters the same way you and everyone else does. Or do you think no one sees the response to Big Neil in post #185? The difference is, when you do it, you're clever and can show it with a "lol." When I do it, I'm malicious.

Tell me sometime when you're feeling benevolent how it feels to be blameless.

I know, I know, it's all my fault because I just don't see why you're still trumpeting calling Q over Hutch. Eventually you Q dawgs will realize it isn't impressive. I think...

Culpepper's been a starter 6 years, and three of them his QB rating has been close to 100.

His career avg per pass attempt is 7.7, lifetime completion almost 65%, TD-INT 135/86.

He's a QB we could build around for the next six years or so.

This is a franchise QB that had a bad year, but he has enough of a history that we can say this year was an aberration IMO.

BTW, I wish Mike Tice was still the coach in Minnesota because then I would believe Culpepper was available. A new HC coming in won't choose Brad Johnson over Culpepper, again IMO.

Great stats trip, I actually did not know he was rated so high.

Based on your information I would say logically you are right and I am wrong.

But, I just have always had this gut feeling about Culpepper. I've not seen him play much, but a few years back I saw his backup (McMann who is in Philly now ??) or someone, come in and outplay him when he was in-effective, then Brad Johnson this year.

I could and probably am way off, I just feel that Culpepper's stats were based on throwing all of those bombs to Moss which inflated his stats.

Please do go find where I said "no one here has a better option". I said no one was even trying to offer an alternative which they clearly weren't.

I protect any poster I feel is being unfairly abused. Call it a personality trait. I'm not a fan of folks shouting down people who make some valid points.
Especially when done so by folks in authority or in a piling on fashion. It wreaks of fascism.

I made 1 heated response to you then simply continued debating the topics; it is you who chose to make 3 or 4 posts thumping your chest and trying to tell others what you know about me.

Again here we go tho, lets make sure all know you are merely the hapless victim here and not at all a bully picking on a guy who likes Bledsoe.

Lots of our posters came here because of a certain player joining the team. Doesn't make them a troll.

And exactly who are you to judge my best days? That God complex is really getting out of hand. Any advice you wanna give me about lunch, I'd hate to make a poor decision?

Well, there's a lot of people that feel as you do, including MAYBE the Minnesota Vikings organization. I just disagree and don't see how they feel that way, that's all.

When he had the surgery in November, the Vikes said he would be ready to go in training camp.

Which is another big blow for Culpepper changing teams. No OTA's with his new team, learning the offense, etc.

Thank you for finally being civil to me. I will offer you the same respect.

No, I didn't say we should expect Henson to start next year, but if Parcells had been doing his job we'd know whether it was a viable option or not. We still don't know even though everyone has it figured out. I find that faux pas in Parcells truly galling if he does indeed hang them up. If he quits he's basically leaving us holding the bag of figuring out the future.

I like Bledsoe and think he's earned the right to come back. You've heretofore ignored this about me. I prefer that be as a mentor or backup, but I'm not unrealistic.

I just happen to think that ignoring what people are saying about Bledsoe's overall ability to lead this team to the Super Bowl is myopic and I defend them. When is the evidence finally relevant? When you agree with it? I just don't see it that way.

Though I like Bledsoe (a lot by the way) I can see the point of what they are saying.

Oh, BTW, I haven't argued anything about Bledsoe with Nors other than whether he is an automatic HOFer. Look it up if you doubt me. In fact, if you search real hard you'll find where I said he was our offensive MVP. yeah, I am a real "basher."

You jumped my butt in this thread because I pointed out an agenda someone else has. I still have no idea why you assumed I was dissing you. Not once, but twice, responding to the same poster. Do I need to do an IP check for an alter ego?

Kidding.

Okay, as to your question. First of all Minnesota cannot keep Culpepper because of a roster bonus he is due. That's been established. So, why would I trade the 18 pick and a player for him?

Ignoring that fact, if he were available only through trade would I pull that trigger?

Not copping out, but it depends. Is Omar Jacobs there at 18? Is Jay Cutler? Where do I rate them?

You see, I care very deeply about the future of this team and to that I post a lot. I know, I know, that makes me a "minority." I have no idea why it offends you. You've had issues with me for a long time dating back to the Q wars. Get over it already.

I'm never going to say you don't know football JT. Not like you accused me of today. Not my style. I do get abrasive when called out. If you can't handle that then don't call me out. If you call me out I'm going to respond in kind.

If you want it to be civil we can keep it civil. I have always respected your opinions, even when they disagree with me. You know this, or you should. You've never afforded me the same respect. Please don't say you have.

Wow, for all you guys bashing bledsoe I gotta ask why?

lets see, you guys are saying that if Bledsoe were not here, with Henson starting we would be better. Your saying Hensons not gunna pat the ball, not gunna throw an INT at a key point of the game in any game you choose. Your gunna say that Hensons gunna throw for 3600+ yards and 20+TDs.

Are you also gunna say that JJ and Barber would run better with that hand off coming from Henson? Your saying that the line that Bledsoe had as much protection from as a wet paper bag, would suddenly just become impervious to any defender and stalwarts of the gridiron?

What the hell are you guys expecting. You guys know we have to have a freakin QB start each game, right? You guys know that the play starts with a QB taking the snap and then either handing off to a back or throwing to a receiver, right? I mean you guys understand the basic philosphy of football, right?

Cause what I am hearing is you would rather have NOBODY there then BLEDSOE. Would you rather have CARTER there? How bout we go get ANTHONY WRIGHT again. Wheres RYAN LEAF. Think detroit would let us have HUTCHINSON back. oh wait, I think they just told his no good sorry non QBing butt to go home.

You guys, man, MW and crew. You HATE bledsoe. Just say it already. It does not matter who the QB is, your gunna hate HENSON when he starts cause he sucks WORSE then Bledsoe. This guy just turned in the best season of any Cowboys QB in a long long time and you hate it cause hes not the LONG TERM answer. Guess what, you have to get through the SHORT TERM before you can get to the LONG TERM. Do you listen you your whines before you post em????????

Grow the hell up and find something LEGITAMATE to whine about, like the kicking situation. Bledsoe should get a $10,000,000,000.00 roster bonus next pring for putting up with the Olines crap. Paid by the Oline out of their salaries. When Bledsoe has the boys in the NFC championship game next year, you gunna call Bledsoe a bum then????

But then I am sure we will have gotten there despite Drews 30 TDs and 12 INTs. Despite his 3500+ yards again. It will all be because the Oline coulda made a guy with no arms and legs an all-pro QB.

You guys. You just HATE for HATEs sake. You have no good reason to hate Bledsoe. I think your a depressed, lonely old man who is a crumudgian by nature. Your own kids prolly dont even call on Christmas cause they dont wanna hear you guys whine about Santa Clause again. Sorry fella, but the Boys are gunna be good with Bledsoe next year. Get ready to hate next year too, cause we aint changing that much that you wont recognize the players or the plays next year.

Thanks for filling me in on my true feelings. I'll sleep better tonight for it.

I haven't read that, but he injured all three ligaments ACL, PCL, MCL, which is the same injury Willis McGahee had.

It wouldn't surprise me.
