After the last 8 years of QB play, yea, I'll gladly take 14th because the position was at least medicore and not ranking 27th or below.

there isn't a good answer for this question and that's a lot of the struggle we *all* have. but just because we can't list a few franchise qb's out there waiting for the cowboys to call doesn't mean we shouldn't go looking for one we believe WILL be that guy.

drews had 13 years and isn't gonna get a lot better. bp knew his faults when he brought him in and did a bad job of covering them up or protecting him. every team in the league knows how to attack drew and the top teams will do it easily.

Quincy started the last time we made the playoffs.
Hutch is never in his life gonna win more than 2 NFL games. Quincy isn't much to crow over but I was damn sure backing the better football player in those arguments.

This guy just turned in the best season of any Cowboys QB in a long long time and you hate it cause hes not the LONG TERM answer. Guess what, you have to get through the SHORT TERM before you can get to the LONG TERM. Do you listen you your whines before you post em????????

yep. sure do. but apprantely don't listen to the posting we make in return but rather boil them down to 3rd grade good/bad and outpour from there generic arguments we never made.

no one hates drew. we all realize he's better than we've had in awhile, but in 3 years we've made the playoffs once with CARTER as our qb.

drew is getting "subset" flack from bills decisions, period.

What the hell are you guys expecting. You guys know we have to have a freakin QB start each game, right? You guys know that the play starts with a QB taking the snap and then either handing off to a back or throwing to a receiver, right? I mean you guys understand the basic philosphy of football, right?

this is not so much against Bledsoe as it is love for the Cowboys... and having some kind of future at the most important position on the field

Paid by the Oline out of their salaries. When Bledsoe has the boys in the NFC championship game next year, you gunna call Bledsoe a bum then????

and so far we got exactly what was predicted by many we would get out of bledsoe. is that a fair assesment? DO NOT lob in excuses - but did we get about what you can expect from drew? middle of the pack, stats a little above average overall.

what leads you to believe drew will do next year what he's NEVER done in his career? this mythical "lights out" season talk is old and "dreamers" bound.

How did that turn out for him.

As ice stated, BP refuses to give any of our backup QB's playing time during meanless games or blowouts. Do we even have a QB of the future on our roster ? Only 1 way to find out.

The Giants had the nads last year to find out even when the games weren't meaningless just to prepare for their future. We won't even try when the games are meaningless.

Vinny and Bledsoe are not our future. Someone else is.

One thing I can say JT. As long as BP is our coach next year, you will get your wish and see the same Bledsoe, give or take a few TD's/INT's and yards that you have seen the last 13 years.

The only flaw being BP. If Drew Henson goes to NFLE and lites it all up I still think he would not be given a fair chance at the job.

I like BP and hope he is back next year. But you are right about this bein a flaw of his. In a game that meant nothing last nite Romo or Henson never got to play a down. What kinda crap is that. Get them some much needed game time we didnt have anything to lose.

I think you are right that even if Henson does great in NFLE he would not get a fair chance with Parcells here.

IF we can make the playoffs with Carter and win 10 games then don't you think we can win a Super Bowl with Bledsoe? You are big on the historical argument with Bledsoe yet he has already been to a Super Bowl. Kinda hard to realistically argue a guy can't do something he has already done.

I want to have the best team I could care less who has the best QB.

i never got into the "you're a hater cause you don't love like me" garbage.

our future right now IS right now. we've got nothing else with what we've built and we're stuck with it till it's over and that's probably 1 more year. maybe more. it's a very frustrating time for the fanbase who's preference is building long term teams.

is that always gonna work? HELL NO. but odds are it will work more often than shotgun approaches. anyone who points to years of bad calls before BP got here has 2 more years to put into the "bad calls" years from bp himself.

I had no idea our Oline made that much money. They are GROSSLY overpaid.

Seriously, though, I don't know what to say on this topic. Preseason, I HATED the move to get Bledsoe. I knew it was going to happen, and I loathed it. That being said, he's performed better than I expected.

Yes, he holds onto the ball for what seems like WAY too long sometimes. Who are we to say that anyone's open? Sure, sometimes it's pointed out that someone was running open underneath, but how many clips can you find this year of BLedsoe just missing someone? If everyone's covered, I'd much rather have him go down with the ball than turn it loose for an INT. Many of his sacks he has simply had no time.

Noone can deny the correlation between Flo's injury and Bledsoe's decrease in production. Before his injury we had the top rated QB in the NFC, and like third in the league. You can point to his history all you want, I really don't care about it. All I care about, is that THIS year, there is a marked event, that directly correlates to his drop-off. I don't know what happened other years. Maybe Bledsoe is just going to suck from now on. But again, THIS year, he showed me enough that I have to give him the benefit of the doubt, and believe that, with a decent Oline, he can excel. Because he's shown us that it's possible already. I'm ready to give him another year.

Now Parcells, I'm starting to sour on. But that's another story....
