so now that the season is over I can include this year..

so in his 13 years Bledsoe has now finished last or next to last 9 out of 12 years in the division he was playing in!!! (we did not include the year he sat behind Brady)

that is just horrible

but but but...he gets HOF consideration!!!!!

I hope that Drew Henson goes to NFLE and lites it all up and when he comes back is given a FAIR chance to challenge for the job.

But I do want Bledsoe back. Chances are real good he will still be the best QB on the team by far.

Some in here will attack his 83 QB rating but how could ANY NFL QB do much better with the OL we had. I do not even think Manning or Brady would see a 90 point rating behind our OL.

If Henson is ready go with Henson. If not go with Bledsoe. Bledsoe is still a good QB.

And if you look at when his numbers and play went down it was after our OL became the joke of the NFL.

Thank You Hos.

If I hear one more time that Drew Bledsoe is the best QB we have had in years, I might lose my mind.

That is not a great accomplishment when VT, QC, CH, and RL have been your QBs.

Time to set our standards a little higher.

It is sorta like saying which was the better of the stooges Moe, Larry, Curly or Shem

Are you seriously going to sit there and tell me you give credence to someone who places Bledsoe above Montana, Staubach, and Aikman?

Answer that and I'll answer yours. Without "Bill Walsh" high school insults.
I do NOT place Bledsoe above those guys at all.
My insults were in response to the quote directed at me via whomever.

But again the questions minus sophmoric insults remain. Who exactly is the solution if Bledsoe is not?

Do we just play young guys because they are young or do we try to give the team the best chance to win games?

If Flozell was healthy and we had added a starting Right Tackle in free agency to replace Jacob Rogers how many games do you honestly believe we win this season?

If we played Tony Romo how many games do we win?

Heaven forbid we have standards or high hopes amigo.

No, better that we accept the fact he's better than Vinny and Q.

You'll have to excuse JT... he's in rapture. He's going to Disney Land. He just had a QB rank 14th in the NFL.

I insulted you?

Gonna call BS on that one scooter.

Hey, it's all good. I get it. You're completely satisfied with the status quo. You have been since the days of Q when we went round and round. How do I know? Because you're suing the same lame and tired response. "Who can we get that's better?"

No matter what solution anyone brings up you won't listen to it or give any credence to it because it is not your idea. Not about to spin my wheels and waste both of our time on that sand trap.

After the last 8 years of QB play, yea, I'll gladly take 14th because the position was at least medicore and not ranking 27th or below.

Just a while ago you asked me If I had a franchise QB in my pocket or something like that.

I was in favor of drafting Chris Simms the year he came out. He is putting up Bledsoe like numbers in only his third year.

61%
2035 yards (10 game starts)
10 TD
7 INT
81.4 Rating

3rd Year in the NFL
Team in playoffs
About a decade younger
More mobile
Upside

Again, for me this argument is not just about DBs performance this year. It is what does he have to offer two to three years down the road when we really need him. What has BP done in the past to set us up for the future.

Like I said, you have to play the lotto to win the lotto.

Do you think Tampa would trade Chris Simms for Bledsoe?

we don't know. we don't even know what he looks like on the field during ANY nfl play, do we?

we've now had:
3 games (2 last year and 1 this year) where winning or losing THAT GAME was meaningless. if we played hensen OR romo in those games we'd have an idea of their capabiliities. i understand and agree with trying to win, but in a LONG TERM PLAN (my approach) you build up - not load up a shotgun and hope it hits something good.

that's what we're doing.

we've got 13 years of drew history to know what he's gonna do and before this year you probably could have said what he'd do based on that and be right.

the "who else is there!" argument is meaningless as ti...oops. : ) it's just meaningless. brady was a nobody but he sat down drew didn't he?

it's called scouting and looking. i find it odd you'll use our 10 year history of getting it 'wrong' as a guide to keeping drew but you'll overlook his 13 year history of underperforming when needed so we can say he's our best shot.

next year he'll do about what he did this year and that won't get it done across the board.

That would be my perfect senerio also.

The only flaw being BP. If Drew Henson goes to NFLE and lites it all up I still think he would not be given a fair chance at the job.

You want a personal bio here? I can always cut and paste a resume if you feel it necessary?

Still waiting on that list of Franchise QBs for us to choose from.

hey, we see you as "dreaming" drew will "light it up" when in 13 years he's never shown he'll do that for a season. why is that *NOT* dreaming, jt?

We are not if Bill does not attempt to get a young guy. He has had some chances, but continues to pass.

Wow, for all you guys bashing bledsoe I gotta ask why?

lets see, you guys are saying that if Bledsoe were not here, with Henson starting we would be better. Your saying Hensons not gunna pat the ball, not gunna throw an INT at a key point of the game in any game you choose. Your gunna say that Hensons gunna throw for 3600+ yards and 20+TDs.

Are you also gunna say that JJ and Barber would run better with that hand off coming from Henson? Your saying that the line that Bledsoe had as much protection from as a wet paper bag, would suddenly just become impervious to any defender and stalwarts of the gridiron?

What the hell are you guys expecting. You guys know we have to have a freakin QB start each game, right? You guys know that the play starts with a QB taking the snap and then either handing off to a back or throwing to a receiver, right? I mean you guys understand the basic philosphy of football, right?

Cause what I am hearing is you would rather have NOBODY there then BLEDSOE. Would you rather have CARTER there? How bout we go get ANTHONY WRIGHT again. Wheres RYAN LEAF. Think detroit would let us have HUTCHINSON back. oh wait, I think they just told his no good sorry non QBing butt to go home.

You guys, man, MW and crew. You HATE bledsoe. Just say it already. It does not matter who the QB is, your gunna hate HENSON when he starts cause he sucks WORSE then Bledsoe. This guy just turned in the best season of any Cowboys QB in a long long time and you hate it cause hes not the LONG TERM answer. Guess what, you have to get through the SHORT TERM before you can get to the LONG TERM. Do you listen you your whines before you post em????????

Grow the hell up and find something LEGITAMATE to whine about, like the kicking situation. Bledsoe should get a $10,000,000,000.00 roster bonus next pring for putting up with the Olines crap. Paid by the Oline out of their salaries. When Bledsoe has the boys in the NFC championship game next year, you gunna call Bledsoe a bum then????

But then I am sure we will have gotten there despite Drews 30 TDs and 12 INTs. Despite his 3500+ yards again. It will all be because the Oline coulda made a guy with no arms and legs an all-pro QB.

You guys. You just HATE for HATEs sake. You have no good reason to hate Bledsoe. I think your a depressed, lonely old man who is a crumudgian by nature. Your own kids prolly dont even call on Christmas cause they dont wanna hear you guys whine about Santa Clause again. Sorry fella, but the Boys are gunna be good with Bledsoe next year. Get ready to hate next year too, cause we aint changing that much that you wont recognize the players or the plays next year.

Absolutely. We can improve our Oline, which will improve our running game, which will improve our passing game. I'd like McNair as insurance, and I want to see us develop Romo or Henson.

You have all the answers JT. Always have. Why don't you educate all of us? You don't have the redneck/hillbilly card to use any more so it may be more difficult. Endeavor to persevere.
