Would you take Zeke at 4?

Nope. But I'd never have spent a top 5 pick on an oft-injured and short-lived position you can fill in the 3rd round. Also, I don't like Elliott.

But he is a hell of a football player. I don't believe for a second his troubles are going to legitimately impact his season. He's too good a player.
I think me and you are in the same boat. I thought then he would be a hell of a player. And probably not for very long because of the nature of the position. I would have taken Ramsey and went forward with a different 2nd or 3rd Rd RB and still would even knowing how good he was last year.

I would have taken Bosa, but he wasn't available, so ZEKE is the best of the rest.
If he can get his mind back on football 100% (and he has every reason to be distracted with the NFLs dog and pony show), he will be fine.

Love y'all. I'm out, for the night.
I'm going to make some dinn and watch some terrible action movies from the 80's with my significant other.
Talk to y'all laters, my homies.

Oh yeah- did @aria show up today, expanding her horizons?

No time like the present...

Great corners are a lot harder to come by then great RB's. It is really about the value at #4 overall.

Especially where we were sitting before that draft, with our whole secondary looking to walk the next offseason. We could have had Ramsey at CB--where he was a decent value, or at S--where he'd have been overdrafted. On paper, a CB made a lot of sense.

You only take a CB in the top 5 if he's the best CB in the history of the game?

Deion made interceptions. Which Ramsey doesn't. And I said Deion type, not just Deion.

When you can get guys like Ajayi in the 5th, or 'reach' for David Johnson in the 3rd, or Kareem Hunt in the 3rd this year, why would you reach for a guy in the top 5?

But, yeah, he's a hell of a player. He's a lot better in pass pro at this level than I ever dreamed he'd be, too. And he doesn't fumble. Those are the two things I want most at that position, anyway.

It's interesting, there were some red flags with Zeake when he was coming out, there were stories about his crazy partying, there was even a story that Bosa moved out of their shared apartment because it was too crazy there. True or not I am not sure

Sorta the same things we are seeing now with his behavior so it make me believe there may have been some truth to them.

He is ours now, so I hope he gets it together and becomes the best back in history, but just do not like the value of any RB @4.

It was definitely out there. Though more fans thought Bosa had the problem. I"m sure the teams knew, though.

Whatever. I don't mind the DV allegations. He's here to play football when he's with the team. As long as it doesn't end up with a legitimate suspension, I'm ok with it. I don't consider the DV suspension legitimate, obviously.

:hammer:

No. I would have traded up for Wentz like I've said all along. If I had to make the mistake of staying at 4 then yes. Zeke. It's not his fault that 1) the woman is a lying and vindictive bleep who's empowered by a league pandering to women...and 2) our overrated offensive line got pushed around like children.

He was the best RB in the league as a rookie. So good that a CFL player could play QB and make people believe he had talent too.

You'd rather have a principal Ed Rooney look alike interception machine at QB, then having both Ezekiel Elliot and Dak Prescott. They say hindsight is 20/20 but your case is special. Hindsight need not apply because you're blinded by ego.

Knowing what you know now?
Especially with what we know now. In the same class as Jim Brown and Eric Dickerson for the most yards in their first season. Are you saying because of one game? Do you have the same argument for Hunts one game?
Suppose Hunt doesn't have another game like his first all year. I don't even see a comparison. Revisit this in December.

It's threads like this one that keep me away from Cowboyszone after a loss.
I have no idea what possessed me to violate my rule today.

Wednesday is the day to come back after a blowout loss, Hardline. Not until Wednesday.

But this is a good thread, I think. Zeke's a beast. Everybody knows that. But he's also a distraction. #4 overall is pretty high, so it's a legitimate question.

No your dismissed Wentz man. LOL
Kicked off the football short bus, that's gotta sting.

If it matters, he's the guy who wanted Chance Warmack at #1 overall a few years back. You're not getting dismissed from anything worth attending.
He won't reply to either of you, now.

But he's cuddly, in a cactus-sorta way :)

I have no idea what really happened with DV stuff, I would just advise him if I was advising him to be careful about the people he surrounds himself with.

@aria's back at her Giants board, Corso.

She lapped up the tears of our loss and got her fill.
