Would you take Zeke at 4?

How about this...............would you give up the 4th pick in the draft next year to trade for him if we had it?

I understand the intent of your question but that is a different situation.

One year of his rookie contract is gone and I don't know the other options that will be available in the 2018 draft.

RB would not be my first choice for top 5 pick, but in his draft class he was by far most likely Super Star available at that pick.

Ideally I would want a pass rusher but the best ones tend to go top 2 or 3.

My point is you are implying Zeke is good because of his line here. He was good in HS in college w/o the vaunted Dallas line. You sound like a Barry Sanders fan saying "the only reason Smith was good was because of the great line he had in Dallas"...yes he had a great line but Emmitt broke every HS and Florida rushing record prior to the NFL. He was a great back with or without the line in Dallas. Zeke was a back prior to coming to Dallas...and there really are no more "great backs" in the NFL. Good yes...great..Peterson may be the last for a while.

That is not what I am implying. Zeke is awesome without the line. But his incredible success and incredible impact has as much to do with the line and offense as is does his own skill. It takes both. Hes goes to Cleveland and he doesn tead the league in rushing and they dont go 13-3. And we saw that his impact didnt help us win a playoff game. Just sayin.

AND...............there are other VERY good backs in the league that CANT put up the stats Zeke is putting up because they ARE on bad teams.

Production does not = the best. Not that simple. Not with RB's. They are too reliant on those around them.

Its more than the one game. Its the problems he has had, the suspension coming up, the size of the next one of it happens and way he gave up and pouted when time got tough against Denver, the obvious immaturity and lack of leadership. I could care less about getting stopped by the D. That happens to all great RB's.

Hunt looks incredible. Other backs look good too. The point is knowing that you can these type of backs easily in later rounds. If you didnt know that already, it should be all to obvious now.

Maybe it's not as obvious since there were 84 picks before Hunt was picked. Samaje Perine and Donnel Pumphrey were still available though. Championship!

To answer the OP...yes. He is the best player on the team that doesn't play OL. Only Tyron Smith and Zach Martin can make that claim.

The offenses best player has his worst performance in his short career and the team gets blown out...not a coincidence.

You don't just draft great players; you draft great players who fit your team and schemes. That's why many of them are gone when a new coach with different schemes arrives on the scene. Bosa would have fit out team perfectly; a high energy, high motor guy who gets into the backfield. Zeke fits our team perfectly; a smart, zone runner with power when you need it and the speed to score on long runs, plus excellent pass protection...not to mention bringing back a run game to protect Tony's back, though it ended up protecting Dak.

Ramsey? No sir....another talented DB who, like all others, can't cover for 4-5 seconds for a defense with a suspect pass rush. We took the player who would impact our team, and he did just that, helping the offense, the rookie QB, and the defense.

Last season, Dak did more for the defense than I can imagine any available defender doing at #4
