i dont go for the "Jerry wants to win" because someone else told them so. At least tell me why you believe this or how.

I also dont go for the "this one player will win it for us" again, tell me how, what is the rest of us missing.

what i am against is evidence of Jerry SHOWING everyone he is NOT interested in teh SB and every year, here comes teh same posters, "GUYS, JERRY WANTS A SB"

This thread is an example of how fans overvalue picks. An elite, probably the best CB in the game, play at a Money 5 position for a late 1st rounder is a no brainer. You would be dumb to turn that down. Denver would never do it though. He is probably as valuable as Ramsey was when Jacksonville traded him. If not more

Of course we would/should, but 24 isn’t going to be enough. He’s an elite player at one of the most important positions on any team.

He would be our best corner and give us the best secondary in the NFL for the next five years.

Not sure why people are saying no. You guys are crazy. What do you think the team is going to land at #24? lol.

Probably any GM in the league would trade #24 for this player and throw a 2nd or 3rd rounder with it.

I would LOVE to see Surtain in a Cowboy's uniform. With that said though, it's a no. It's just not a position of need and we have to spend our 1st round pick more accordingly.

I'd be fine with bringing Gilmore back on a friendly deal (assuming he would do so).

Need another pass-rusher so Parsons can’t be double-teamed, or at least a DT capable of collapsing the pocket; and LBs who can drop back in coverage in the short zones…I think CB is a luxury in terms of immediate need.

I wouldn’t do the deal just because it’s not just 24 proposed in that deal it’s other picks but with our salary commitments to other positions we can’t have a $40 million dollar secondary.

I would pay surtain before I paid Bland though. I’m still wary of how good Bland actually is. If he has another all pro year I’ll be 100% bought in but not there yet.

How is he helping us stop the run? How many wins is he adding to this team? How does he close the gap with Baltimore, San Fran, kc, buffalo…

He’s a great player at a position we don’t really need desperately and he’s gonna need a monster deal
