Wait...what?

Joey Styles? Knocked JBL out?

No lol

JBL was picking on styles and styles told him to "Frack" Off.

JBL slapped styles and styles punched him in the face ....... the guys started laughing and JBL said "about time!"

After that JBL stopped picking on styles because he earned his respect.

That's not the way I heard it. And I heard it from somebody that has been friends with Joey for almost 20 years.

JBL was drunk and started in with Joey and Joey had enough and threw a punch and knocked JBL out.

The main rebuttal to the incident for JBL's sake was 'he was drunk.' But, everything I've heard is that Joey did knock him out.

I heard what i said from a Jericho podcast he was doing with Lance Storm ....... and Jericho was on Joey Styles side so I do not know why he would lie for JBL.

WWE: Bo? LEAVE.

- WWE officials reportedly have "given up" on the push for Bo Dallas, which explains why his winning streak was ended by R-Truth a few weeks back. We've noted before that Bo was one of the gimmicks that Vince McMahon had lost interest in.

did they really think that angle would put him over? I assumed they were over doing his character only to have him lose, snap and become a heel, similar to kurt angle. weird

Rumors for the Day:
  • In an interesting update to the Alberto Del Rio situation, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is saying that part of why he was fired could be the lawsuit against Big Show where someone in production sued for Show getting too rough with him. Keeping Del Rio on could have strengthened that case and if the social media manager had followed through on his apparent threat to sue, WWE would have been in a bad position.
  • Also of interest is the fact that John Cena, Big Show, and Randy Orton all went to bat for Del Rio and told him they would help him get his job back later. Apparently, Triple H told Del Rio when he fired him that if he kept his nose clean, they could bring him back in six months or so. Del Rio's response to all this was that he doesn't want to come back anymore.
  • Dave Meltzer wrote on his message board that Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is the planned direction for WrestleMania 31 and it was decided "either shortly before or shortly after WrestleMania". Lesnar vs. John Cena at SummerSlam was supposed to be Lesnar vs. Bryan and it would have played out the same way it did this past Sunday night with Reigns being the guy who would emerge to save the day at next year's WrestleMania.
  • Speaking of Bryan, David Shoemaker of Grantland tweeted late yesterday that he's heard Bryan needs Tommy John surgery and he'll be out of action for at least three more months.
  • It was reported by Mark Madden that Kurt Angle outright called Triple H to inquire about a WWE return and Triple H blew him off. So Angle decided to call Vince McMahon, who told him Triple H is in charge of talent decisions now. This was a risky play on Angle's part because it pissed Triple H off that Angle would go over his head. It certainly doesn't look like he'll be coming back to WWE.

Lesnar vs Reigns? Already starting to yawn just thinking about it. Lesnar vs anyone is a snorefest for me. I like Reigns but still think he worked better in a group which is why I think, despite it's so-so stable name, breaking the Shield up was a mistake.

They should bring Angle back. Though admittedly I do not know what his current ring abilities are but you could put him in a fued with Rusev. Babyface American Olympic hero vs. the big bad Russian heel. Truly Rocky IV.

I agree on both points. Breaking up TheShield was disappointing. If for no other reason it effectively killed off anyone fueding with The Authority. While I don't like Angle I appreciate what he brings to the table and I am always in favor of bring in as much talent as you can get because it helps the overall product. Watching guys like Heath Slater is about as much fun as mowing the lawn.

I have a hard time believing that Dallas' physique is not part of the reason why Vince doesn't care for him. Vince always pushes the bodybuilder physique and Bo has a little flab on him. It's too bad because I think the guy can work in the ring and if given a decent gimmick could probably make something good out of it.

I think Lesnar is fantastic. Although I'm not sure Reigns is quite ready. He has the look and charisma, but there is something that is missing. You want a guy like that to build so much steam that the fans are chomping at the bit for him to become the champ and I just don't see that.

Angle is a walking train wreck. He is broken down badly and who knows how his addiction to painkillers is going. The last thing they want to do is have him come back and then die of an overdose on pills.

I'm not going to watch anything with Brock in it so if he's on I'll turn it off.

I still think it's a ripoff to give a part time guy the biggest prize.

I agree on Lesner. And we will find out how ready Reigns is at WM. Give him another 7-8 months and he could evolve into a main eventer with some better mic skills. I keep reading in multiple places the plan is for him to win the championship then. I'm just happy as hell someone besides Cena or Orton isn't champion.

But where does this leave Rollins? I mean, does anyone really believe he could beat Lesner to begin with? We know Cena will get his rematch at Night of Champions and lose. But if the plan is for Reigns to take over next spring I don't see anything but an unsuccessful attempt at cashing in his MITB contract for Rollins.

Probably mic skills. He seems pretty so-so on the mic, to me.

What's the over/under on number of matches Brock actually takes part in before next WrestleMania? 3? 4? I hate that they put the brand new belt on what will probably be a part time non-wrestling champion. Hope I'm wrong.
