Cena is popular with the younger generation. For example my 8 year thinks he's great. After last night I got a new reason to start dialing down my WWE time and get ready for football. His act is old. He will never turn heel.

The punk the fans are chanting is for CM Punk They want him back. Me too. He was/is very popular and the WWE product is lesser now that he is gone. Sadly I don't ever see him returning but I guess you never know.

Former football player at OU. Very big boy but dumb as a box of rocks. He actually held the championship belt for a very short time. He never will again. No persona or mic skills.

Chris Jericho has been around a long time and has always been very popular. His entrances are legendary as are some of his matches. He has held upwards of 30something belts. Cena is just like Hulk Hogan, he only has about 5 "wrestling" moves. But he is the #1 moneymaker for WWE and has been for a while. When he got hurt last year, merchandise sales and TV ratings dropped immediately. His involvement with Make-A-Wish (he is the #1 wish granter of their foundation) gains him a ton of fans and respect in and out of the company. That involvement is why his character will never change and why he is the default champion when WWE Creative suddenly goes dumb like they currently are with Bryant hurt.

So Swagger was a football player. I am not surprised. He has the athletic build. I guess the guy with him is his voice since you say he's not good at that because that guy is a great talker! Not too many guys make that Rusev guy look normal sized. Swagger did to me! He's huge!

Regarding that Cena guy I admire anyone that gives back. I expect that. But even with that he is BORING! Actually his act is so lame nothing he does or says is entertaining to me.

I get the feeling he has a huge ego.

Now you have me curious about that Punk guy.

Punk is by far the best in sports entertainment. He's the best on the mic, the guy is great in the ring, and he's the guy who they should have been building the shows entirely around him. He's far and away the best. If they'd put the belts on Punk and let him run a series of great matches with guys like Bryan (When he's healthy again), Ambrose, Rollins, Wyatt, etc they'd sell BIG TIME.

Punk is just that great.

I checked out Punk. The article said he quit & retired basically. Burned out was the consensus. I can see that. That cannot be an easy life.

His WWE contract officially expires this month. But a few months ago he just tired of the grind and walked away. He is known to be very good with his money and from what I've read he is set for life. There is no doubt that the number one thing on the WWE universe wish list is for his return. It would be huge. Also want to mention he just married AJ Lee. That is just one more thing that gives fans hope for his return.

I don't know who AJ Lee is but if he was burned out perhaps he will never come back. Particularly if he has a lot of money. Too bad for you guys. I don't miss him because I never saw him.

I'm enjoying watching the buff guys like Seth & Roman & then there is Bray who I just like. He sure is not buff.

I take breaks when the girls are on. I decided I simply cannot watch them. They are that bad to me.

I hear the Punk chants every week. He obviously had a boatload of fans.

Which makes me wonder if Bryan is out a really long time will the fans just hitch their wagon to a newer guy? I didn't find him appealing at all but I am a new fan.

Punk will return. He's too young not to. It's just in his best interests to hold out for a while. He doesn't have to have the money at this point and he has worked for so long that it takes a toll. That and he doesn't take painkillers or steroids, so mentally and physically it would take his toll.

Plus, you see guys like Jericho, Batista, Lesnar, etc...who just seem to take a break and come back when they want to and nobody acts like anything happened. Tough to see him not wanting to same.

Or you could be a Randy Orton or Kane type...stick around with little time off and eventually the fans just get tired of you. It's hard for the fans to miss a wrestler if he won't go away.

The writing for Raw was fairly poor once again outside of the Usos and Seamus vs. Wyatts match. I loved the AJ Lee comeback, but they screwed the pooch with the entire segment being awful. It was a perfect time for Paige to turn heel, keep the title and then have AJ chase her for the belt. Instead, they go with a match which didn't make any sense given Paige said she 'wasn't stupid to give her a match' and she ends up winning on a roll-up after Paige dominated.

And maybe someday they'll realize that Stephanie McMahon is ratings death. Nah, they'll just keep using her and then blame the wrestlers and some 3rd-in-line writer for the ratings not being where they want it.
