Uh no (though I don't think "suffered" is the right word). My point is that the Cowboys should have had their crap together and not hindered a players opportunities because of their incompetence and indecision. And the point is that they did in fact hinder his opportunities (the point of the entire thread/article).

How can you make that assumption? The three NFC East teams Dez wants to spitefully play for still would have had zero interest in him at the start of free agency. If you are a hot commodity it doesn't matter when you are cut. Antonio Brown wouldn't last a day on the market if cut right now.

There is no way to know, but it's not logical to think otherwise.

Reports are just that, reports. Lots of rumors get spread.

Nor do you know any impact the release had. Dallas could have held on to him until after the draft and released Dez as other teams have been doing with vets. Dallas did made this move in their timing, sorry you don't like it

No. Dez put himself in a bad position by not playing 110% after that big pay day Jerry had given him.
Then, he put himself in a bad position yet once again by being greedy wanting only a one year contract & telling the Ravens to pound sand.

Why are we even talking about Dez anymore? He's GONE. Thank GOODNESS!!!!

We know Dez was offered an opportunity to play for Baltimore.
He made the decision to pass.
So, Dallas not releasing him earlier doesn't really matter because there's no guarantee other teams would have made offers or that he would except them. We don't know.
But turning down Baltimore is the kicker.

Correct. Doesn't matter when Dez was cut, if he is holding out for the NFC East he would still be waiting like he is right now.

LOL, ok that is how you see it. I think Dallas took their time, I honestly don't think Jerry was ready and I do think it took McCray based on things I have read to convince Jerry this was the best move to make. I don't care about fans time frame. Dallas doing in in March or today makes me no difference for those who feel different fine

It has nothing to do wth "fans time frame" and everything to do with "NFL time frame." There's a time when the NFL conducts business and if Jerry Jones is vacationing at that time, that's a blunder on his part.

I wasn't aware of an end date? Can you please point me to that rule?

I think Dez is being more vindictive because of our timing to release him.
He threw fans under the bus well before he was cut.
He threw coaches and players under the bus shortly after he was cut.
He was being interview within days.

The "timing" is being blown out of proportion and some are suggesting it was personal. As much of a pain Dez was I highly doubt the FO or staff gave him the screw out of spite.
Maybe they simply wanted to be certain they had replacements before. And we know JG was one of the last guys to agree to cutting him. We also know how ridiculous Jerry has been.
It was the right move. Focusing on the time he got cut won't change the opportunities Dez himself turned down.

Wasn't Dez vacationing?

I'm not sure what your point is here?
Before he was cut. I thought I remember him being away and the team waited for him to return before they cut him. I can't find the article.

Dez was under contract so Jerry can cut him whenever he wanted to as far as i'm concerned and i'm very Pro-Dez Bryant if you haven't noticed.

Did it put Dez in a bad situation? Sure.

If the team was still trying to make some decisions, then it makes no sense to say they should have cut Dez and limited their options. The team has to put the team first.
