Yes our QB is a great leader, but what else?

Agree. Jerry being on the practice field this past week tells you that Jerry is getting more desperate. He thinks he constructed a Super Bowl caliber team and anything less than a NFC championship game will not sit well with him. He might start making some moves if we lose to the Chargers. A win Monday night and that will save Jerry Jones’s head from exploding for another week.
This game means more for MM and Dak. Jerry won’t demand any changes if they lose but it will make him and the front office start looking towards the future.

It could very well be the end of MM and Dak, even though Jerry painted himself into a corner with that contract, I think Jerry would have seen enough to cut ties with him.

Dak’s contract is not bad. You cut him it will be two years at about 30 million. With the cap rise the hit won’t cripple the team. I would just take the 60 million hit next season and let him play out his deal.

When they talk extension, Dak will just hold out in Cabo. Jerry is a sucker for Cabo.
Yup he'll get exactly what he wants, Dak come on man you got to get me one, ok Jerry I got you. Breaking News, Dak is the highest paid QB in NFL history

Dak says all the right things, is a good guy, etc, but......Unless I am missing it, I don't see him running up and down the sidelines motivating his guys to push further. I don't see him making anybody accountable, unless I am missing it. I cannot stand AR but he is credited for being a leader, and he will call out the best of them when need be. I get that AR has earned the right to do this in some minds, but if your QB isn't able to motivate when needed is this effective leading? I don't see the fire, all I see are the scripted I have to be better quotes after each game this team fails

I wish this was true. Jerry is the most stubborn “GM” the league has ever seen……it requires admitting failure.

So you think Jerry will extend Dak? Dak looks shot. He cannot run anymore, sees ghosts, and can’t make certain throws. If they got rid of Zeke, Dak is next.

I think he's a good guy, players and coaches like him but I don't see him leading much. I do see him following. He follows commands even if he disagrees with them. Rarely changes plays to anything other than the 2 options given to him. i think a leader has to recognize and make changes on the fly and demand his skill players step up.
Aikman did that in spades. Forgotten in cowboys history is Jimmy drafted Steve Walsh as he thought Troy wasn’t tough enough

once the foundational players on O and Dvwere in place he thrived

unfortunately Dak does not have his skill set or situation game process ability

I think he's an innovator, how many leaders do you see sitting on the bench by themselves pouting with their heads down? If just one guy would come by while he's pouting he would lead that guy to victory.

Time to move on. Fan since the 60s

Offer him as trade bait coupled with eat part of his salary

I’ll endure a losing season to see a brighter future with a new QB

even as a backup I don’t trust his big game decisions

Did they renegotiate? Cap hit if he is cut in March is around 30 mil.

Dak is a great leader? That's hilarious. I guess we're going to say Garrett was a great leader too because he cussed a lot, right?
I always believed and grew up believing that great leaders proved their leadership on the field, by setting examples and standards of play.
So, if Dak is a great leader of men, then how come so many of our captains are checking out from his leadership, our playmakers like CD and MP?
I ask this question and hope some here choose to respond honestly.

He is not a great leader.

This is just something said about him because he has no ability or skills that make him great.

It's like calling someone a "gym rat" or "good locker room guy".

The "good leader" stuff is another narrative that needs to go away with this bum.
You don't think double-fist-pump in the huddle is a sign of a great leader?

I think I used to assume he was a good leader because it's been repeated so often..

But is he? Is he actually a good leader?

He has a hard work ethic, sure. He's likeable, sure.

However, he doesn't elevate anyone. He doesn't seem to inspire anyone. He's lost his receivers.. more than once.

Does a bus driver lead you to your destination or simply take you there?
