Who can forget the immortal, "Pass the Dutchie" by Musical Youth?

I don't know what the number 1, one hit wonder is, but for my money, it is "Come on Eileen". Other than, perhaps, "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" or "Deliverance", it is the best use of overalls on film.

"Come on Eileen" a great song.

It would require some research time... For everything pre-1990 the longest lasting #1 record I've found is "Dominque" which topped the Billboard Hot 100 list for 4 weeks in a row in 1963.
