after laughing at Robespierre for 2 years, he cannot do anything he wants
He was still handed down a suspension and the team was fined (which, for the record, I didn't like). My point is, the NFL got their's. It just drug out a little and cost the NFLPA a few million in litigation fees.

and Robespierre had his wrists slapped big time and now knows he cannot base his decisions on his own personal view of what is appropriate conduct or not

Sorry man, I'm going to leave that one to you, some people go to school for that kinda stuff and pay a good chunk of change to learn, some even get the gist of it in high school. Suffice to say Zeke would have a strong case.

I went to school, and I'm pretty well versed in the Constitution, particularly the First Amendment since I did spend much of my career in journalism defending the First Amendment.

So, I'll ask again and be more succinct and to the point. What constitutional right allows Zeke to pull down a woman's top exposing her breasts to the public?

If we're to believe the (albeit limited) info we have -- consent by the young lady.

I am not sure there is a conspiracy at work here. It's a fact that the NFL, after months and months of investigations, still has an open case against Elliott for domestic violence. It's pretty clear they are looking for something at this point and we've seen them cowtail to pressure on domestic violence in the past.

This gives them the out. They can punish him for this incidence that is video documented, give something to the woman's advocacy groups and then drop the domestic investigation.

I hear you but don't think anything is clear. The case could still be open simply because they don't have to close it at this point. Possibly the cowtailing is keeping it open in order to present a perception of an elongated review. Don't agree he could be punished for this and would be extremely surprised, and disappointed, if he were. I believe I heard the woman involved responded it was all in good fun so not sure why a Woman's Advocacy Group would't respect this woman's opinion/feelings on the matter.

But that's not necessarily a constitutional issue.
And, furthermore, constitutional issues prohibit THE GOVERNMENT from interfering with individual rights and privileges afforded by our laws. Private entities and individuals are not necessarily bound by the Constitution with respect to their person or property.

but Robespierre still has to follow some kind of rules, he can't just suspend willy nilly because he has some different moral code from others

Whether Zeke Elliott grabs some breast or not will make no difference as to how much ad money the league receives. He might not get endorsement money, but the league will not lose a sponsor over it.

That's true, but, that's what most of these posters are trying to say. He gave the Commissioner all the reasoning he ever needed by doing this in such a public fashion.

???
Constitution doesn't matter?
Have we hit the Peter K. Dick future already?

Very well, go ahead and explain to me how his Constitutional Rights would be violated and then, why the NFL would not have authority, based on the contractual agreement Elliott entered into, upon entering the League?

if what he did was not illegal, and the woman does not care, if they are dating etc, can His Highness in all good conscience still suspend him?

Once you start down the road of legislating morality, you can't go back. Does he suspend a player for barfing in public or at a strip bar? What if Brady is seen cupping his wife in public, is that suspendable?

This commissioner has already set that in motion. What he did with Hardy was 100% about the NFL. legally, Hardy did nothing wrong and yet, he was supended for more then a year.

Just based on the little info I have seen on it the woman had no issues with Elliott however Cowboys need to remind him that being in the spotlight comes with a cost and he has to show better judgment in his actions. He is lucky this woman did not file suite to get some easy cash, next time he may not be lucky.

Enough already, suspend him the first couple of games. He will be fresher for the playoffs. If we even make it to the playoffs with this lousy off season. We need to hit it out of the park in the draft and pray that Jaylon can live up to his potential. At least we know Zekes nerve is firing.
