I'm not comparing what Zeke has done for the Cowboys with what Emmitt has done. That would be foolish. If that's what you think is going on here then you are making assumptions about what I'm saying that I am not saying. I can like a player without him setting all-time NFL records so if my being sad about Zeke leaving makes you think I'm saying he is on Emmitt's level then that's your mistaken assumption, not mine. You can't tell me how to feel about any player so stop trying.Sorry dude, but Emmitt was a class act, warrior and the heart of a champion.
Zeke was not on his level, and not worthy of the same level of sadness to his departure.
Zeke put himself first, Emmit put the cowboys first, sad zeke is done but he did not earn anything close to what Emmit did.
Lol. Who will replace him?Prescott is next up if he does not improve his game next year
dont waste your time on the #ZekeHatersI'm not comparing what Zeke has done for the Cowboys with what Emmitt has done. That would be foolish. Stephen is one of the worst owners in history. Dude lies about so much, even at times when he doesn't even need to put on a poker face. Good thing for him that his dad made the money he did or he would be in trouble.Wasn't Stephen Jones in the news not so long ago talking about how he didn't think Zeke's performance was tailing off and the platoon system was working quite well? He was selling us fool's gold. Mr. Pyrite!
If Zeke saved his money, I would recommend he retire from pro football.
Its not worth the damage.
I've been sitting back watching you get schooled by others here.Looks like you were wrong again. Are you sticking with your 3rd place prediction after your 8 win prediction from last year?
Bullcrap. THIS...is "putting himself first"? You think for one second emmitt would do it? Emmitt's coaches wouldn't even ask him to, really. Our stupid coaches did...and zeke did it.Sorry dude, but Emmitt was a class act, warrior and the heart of a champion.

Yes I wanted henry, who I think went in the 2nd round. More mature and hard working, elliot was the playboy, who didnt stay in shape in off seasons.I remember watching him being drafted. I was literally screaming NOOOOOO at the TV. What a waste of a rare draft pick, followed by one of the dumbest contracts in history. He was a fantastic player when in his prime though. It will be strange not seeing him on the field. He played it smart with his contract. Too bad management didn't.
how about if he worked hard in off season and never lose it to begin with?I thought Zeke probably should have joined the Michael Johnson Program to try to recapture his high hurdle agility and burst ..instead working with Skip Hicks ...
Well said. The obviously right decisions can still be painful because at the end of the day human relationships & emotions are involved regardless of what's best for the team. The saddest off-season day I have ever experienced is the day Bill Parcells released Emmitt Smith. I survived that so I know I will survive this but it feels very similar. The saying, "It's a business" has never been clearer. I truly do see how this is for the betterment of the team. It's times like these that separate loyalty for the team from loyalty for the player. I'm certainly a Zeke fan but I'm a bigger Cowboys fan, so I see this as something that had to happen for a chance for the team to get better.
I don't know how well he took care of himself early in his career but I can't discount the injuries. I have said it before but he got hit in a game against Cincy (I believe) and he was literally never the same. All it takes is the wrong hit at the wrong time. One seemingly innocent tackle ended Bo's career.how about if he worked hard in off season and never lose it to begin with?
Once you lose it , it is hard to "get it back"
In 16 he could run down the line and turn the corner with his speed, then in 2017 he could no longer do that.
He had good time during offseason instead of working , so he faded away quickly
