We could have signed a lot of good players for 26m........we still would have to pick someone at 4.......I'll still take the #1 21 year old RB

Miller got much less guaranteed money than Elliott.

Off topic, but it looks like Murray is balling again.

He really is. I watched the Titan/Raider game yesterday and was posting in the morning GDT how well Murray was playing. He also looked nice the week before, but on less carries (12 att 89 yds). As soon as Mariota started feeding Murray the ball, dude started gashing. He still explodes through the hole and has that nasty one cut. Great field vision, too. Fierce competitor that gets up after every hard hit and runs right back to the huddle for more. He's still running with most of his snaps out of the shotgun, which he doesn't like (that's what they did to him in Philly), but his plays are now north/south, rather than side to side like they were doing in Philly.

Doesn't hurt that his back up is also running with effectiveness and explodes through the hole. Henry is nasty and would be starting on half the teams in the league.

That Titan rushing attack, so far through 3 weeks, is clearly their identity. Mariota has looked very pedestrian so far through three games.

I love Zeke, so don't take this as a slight towards our rook, just an observation of a former Cowboy.

Why, do you suppose, is that? It proves what exactly? That Miller wasn't drafted at #4?

Pretty simple actually. The NFL has devalued the RB position and few get big money guaranteed anymore.

Elliott got what he got because that's simply how the draft slot money works.

I'm really looking forward to posters pontificating Elliott is nothing special, just sign some JAG for cheaper and plug him in back there.

We drafted him. At #4. I know this hurt you somehow, but you'll get over it soon.

Saying Miller = Elliott and cheaper too!!!! is just comedy gold. We'll all look back and have a good laugh.

'OMG, you drafted EZEKIEL ELLIOTT when you coulda had LAMAR MILLER!'

This is what I'm waiting for. From Zeke and Dak.

Hard to get too excited when they aren't imposing their will yet, or doing anything remarkable.

That said, I'll take ball control and mistake free football that wins games as a consolation prize any day of the week.

Totally. I mean, we only average the third fewest punts per drive in the league.

Elliott is a good back. He'll probably be better than Miller.

But in a league where resources are finite and our D is void of talent, I believe the wiser move would have been to sign a TB in FA and use the 4th pick in some capacity to help the D.

Still not worth the 4th pick IMO.

He's a fine player but I think there was more value in that pick than taking a RB when we had numerous holes on defense. Even a trade would have been a better move IMO.
Obviously not Ramsey or Bosa

I think Zeke will just get better and better, it's pointless to argue because you'll never please everyone. He looked a lot more confident yesterday and that's what I wanted to see, I think he'll be fine.

Yes I did.. This isn't just my own opinion either as others have said it so did you watch the game?
Oh..."others" have said it? Then it must be true. Why didn't you say that in the first place?

McFadden could've done just as well last night.

Not impressed.

The production is really good.. It doesn't take a top 5 pick to get good production. We need special for that investment.
What separates Zeke from McFadden is not the long runs.

Listen... I bring enough groundbreaking opinions of my own to this site that I don't feel like interjecting others opinions here and there is that big of a deal.

Even turkey neck Collinsowrtht called him out for missing a big run.

I looked at the highlight videos and I see that he doesn't really use a stiff arm to shed tacklers, maybe it is because of the fumbles.

I listened the entire time I read your response and heard nothing...so groundbreaking was a bit of an overstatement. To be fair my fan is on so...

I'm with you but it's still early and he can still prove us wrong.

Being a top guy statistically in rushing is just something almost anyone could do in our backfield.

I'm expecting Ladanian Thomlinson / Edgerrin James type of special from him.

He was drafted top 5 and getting shoe string tackled over and over and just get what is blocked is not what we signed up for.
This is where expectations leave you

For all those that want change at RB, it's not happening so talk about things that may/will happen. I don't think Zeke cares one bit, and I'm dang sure Jerry Jones doesn't care. You're wasting your typing skills on bull****, but some folks like attention.
