I was ecstatic when we picked Zeke in 2016, and I'm every bit as ecstatic and amazed that we have him. This was the 4th time since I've been a Cowboys fan that we picked exactly who I wanted us to pick.

Ramsey plays on an elite Defense, and Zeke plays on an average Offense. Imagine if we had deep threat and high skill QB play, that would open up even more stuff for Zeke. On the flip side, RB is easier to replace. Both are good choices.

its going to suck dealing with him and their defense including Church when Dallas plays them this Thanksgiving
please just run the ball down their throat and dont feed Dak to them with several turnovers
will never hear the end of it

Really?

Check the draft rounds for HOF running backs versus HOF cornerbacks, and see if that theory holds.

Textbook goalpost moving.

So I’ll do the same for you. How many Super Bowls were won with HOF RBs?

Get on it.

It’s not goalpost moving - it’s fact. One that conveniently blows the argument up.

You can find great players in every round for every position. It’s not restricted to one position group more than any other.

My guess is 21 Super Bowls and a dozen more NFL Championships

You mean players 10 years and older? New NFL buddy. The CB position is more important the RB these days. That is a fact.

Yep, 2005 and older. That pretty much sums it up. How many hall of fame RB's have the Patriots had? GB? Marshall Faulk might be the last one. He will get in. Now I would take Faulk over just about any corner. But in reality, in todays NFL, its pretty standard.

It’s not goalpost moving - it’s fact. One that conveniently blows the argument up.

You can find great players in every round for every position. It’s not restricted to one position group more than any other.

You’re making a point nobody is arguing (that i.e. you can find examples of good players at any position in any round) and treating it like you said something profound.

You can find quality, starting-caliber, and productive RBs at later points in the draft and even off the streets, moreso than any other position.

We can go down the list of 1,000+ yard rushers the past 10 years if you’d like?

Responding back with “we’ll how many are HOFers...” neither addresses nor dismisses the claim, but rather misses the point entirely.

It’s like saying you can find a good burger at 12 different burger spots by my house, but then someone responding back and sayin “oh yeah, but how many of those burger joints are Michelin Star rated restaurants?”

Super Bowl started in 1967, so I don’t think Paul Hornung would be counted. That said, there’s been 51 Super Bowls played this far. By my count, that’s just 10 running backs.

I think the point clearly stands you don’t require a HOF running back to win a Super Bowl.

Hornung was on the team but didnt play in the game...pinched nerve in his neck...so he did get a ring.

I don't know where we would be without Zeke.

Our overall defense just isn't good enough for Ramsey to make a big enough impact like he does for the Jags.

Plus.. The JAgs just drafted a bigtime RB themselves in Leonard Fournette.

The smart football move was Ramsey but Zeke is probably more valuable to this team then Ramsey would've been.
