ZONERS: ROMO is the best QB in Cowboys history

After Dan Marino completed his rookie season, we knew this guy would be one of the best.

After just 11 games Romo has put up some hellacious numbers...

Crazy may not be so crazy.

Thank you.......

Lights are coming on Zoners!

Next to step up and see it..........hit the button:laugh2:

Uh, no I won't. I enjoyed last night as much as the next guy, but I refuse to go overboard just because someone else is.

How do I save this thread?

I cannot wait to send it back at you HOS when you see the MOXIE

You can bookmark it or press CTRL + P and print out a hard copy.

I expect an update on this in the year 2020.

You'll know Romo "made it" when you stop calling him the "next Aikman/Staubach" and just call him Romo. We don't call Peyton Manning the next Marino, do we? We may COMPARE them, but Peyton is just Peyton.

Even if I can see the moxie, he needs Super Bowl wins for me to even put him in the same sentence as those guys.

Oh, and it's Staubach with an H not a K.

I think a lot of guys are missing the point that CC is trying to make.

A player has his career achievements and his current level of play.

Comparing Romo's Career with Akiman/Staubach is silly.

Comparing his current level of QB play to some of the best QB play this francjise has seen IS NOT!

Does the same hold true when we call Jason Campbell "the next Quincy Carter"?

:lmao:

He certainly isn't the best QB in history right now. But I will say at least that I won't discount the possibility that some day he may be.

Let's get at least one Superbowl ring on his finger before we start this discussion. I like the enthusiasm though! :)

How do I know that?

I watched Stauback and Aikman--THEY ARE GREAT!

Laugh at me if you want.....but, ROMO POTENTIALLY has the chance to out shine them all........even HOS will have to admit it!

HE IS AWESOME........quick release/accuracy/running ability/calmness in pocket/MOXIE, you name it ROMO has it!

Mr. Jones PAY him today and get it over with!

Come on CC! Your one liners are bad enough, but now when you do type a long post, this is what we get?

:laugh2:

I watched aikman play and I say potentially romo can Be better. But also Aikman had better teams, although this team talent wise should be up there.

Hos, I stand corrected on that spelling......that is how excited ROMO gets me.....responsible for 5 tds last night ....wow!!

OK, guess you will be fine with this in Feb if the defense is fixed. :lombardi:

I love the kid, but he's no Staubach, and his arm doesn't even begin to resemble Aikman's.....no sir.

He had a great game, but that INT could have cost us the game the way our D was playing, and the entire first half it looked like he had no zip, like his passes were just floating out there.

I won't cut him down...he's going to be a star, but he's no Staubach or Aikman....no sir.

Not trying to be a smart ***, I know we're all on the same side.

But I cant help but ask what you thought of the ZIP on Romo's last, game clinching pass.

I look at that last pass and I cant decide if I'm more impressed with Romo's quick release, the short amount of time it took to reach its target or the pinpoint accuracy of the damn thing.

BINGO!

soonyboy knows greatness when it slaps him like last night!

ROMO is something else.......so fun to watch ......carries out his fakes.....never boring.

So because he is exciting makes him the best QB in Cowboys History ?

Quincy was exciting too.

I am not trying to be a dick or rain on your parade, but to claim this at this point is absurd.

Romo looks like a solid, maybe even great QB for the Cowboys. But there is no way you can claim him to be the best in the history of the team after less than a season of play.

It's not a good sign, CC, when a RedStink fan does not agree with you about Romo like the majority of the Cowboy posters don't either!

:laugh2:

I think he'll be better than Aikman but I don't know about Staubach. Aikman's arm was a rocket but I wasn't impressed by his accuracy or consistency.

What?!!

Are you freaking nuts?! Aikman was one of the most accurate QB's there ever was...and he was consistant as ever.

Aikman is regarded as the most accurate QB ever.

It often looked like he was throwing to the other team on purpose. I know it's not a popular notion but I was never impressed by him. I found myself defending him constantly every week. I'm just glad I don't have to anymore.
