Aikman is regarded as the most accurate QB ever.

Kurt Warner is the most accurate QB ever with a career completion percentage of 65.6%. Steve Young has the highest career passing rating.

I am not talking about the record book ..... I am taking about what other NFL greats have said .....

They never saw someone throw with the accuracy of Troy Aikman.

I think it's the Grey Goose that made this crazy thread and not CC.

I've heard NFL greats say he was overrated and if it wasn't for Irving and the offensive line we wouldn't be talking about him.
:lmao:
This is the kind of remark I would have to defend EVERY week.

You give me Roger Staubach all day everyday. He made everyone around him better. And other than Elway I don't know of any other QB I'd want to make a 4th quarter Comeback.

Aikman was outstanding but in my eyes benefitted from having the best Oline I ever saw. And Emmitt Smith, Irvin, Novacek, Moose as weapons. And a very, very good defense. Aikman a clear Hall of Famer that all said.

Romo has something special going. Lets see him get a ring or 2 and we can have this discussion. He's not there yet.

1) Staubach
2) Aikman
3) Romo

That's how I stack them up.

How do I know that?

I watched Stauback and Aikman--THEY ARE GREAT!

Laugh at me if you want.....but, ROMO POTENTIALLY has the chance to out shine them all........even HOS will have to admit it!

HE IS AWESOME........quick release/accuracy/running ability/calmness in pocket/MOXIE, you name it ROMO has it!

Mr. Jones PAY him today and get it over with!

LOl CC. I love your enthusiasm, and share your love of the man that is Romo, but he has a a long way to go to be mentioned with those names. With regard to paying him, I agree. Get it done Jerry.

You should probably take that mask off every once in awhile and get some fresh air.

Not trying to be a smart ***, I know we're all on the same side.

But I cant help but ask what you thought of the ZIP on Romo's last, game clinching pass.

I look at that last pass and I cant decide if I'm more impressed with Romo's quick release, the short amount of time it took to reach its target or the pinpoint accuracy of the damn thing.[/QUOTE]

Great points, and I would like to be the first to say......I am impressed with all three items above!

That reminds me. I taped the game last night. I'm going to go back and watch that last pass to Hurd right now. It was truly a thing of beauty.

I just did and guarantee you are RIGHT--it was a "beauty"!

ROMO has the quickest release of either Staubach or Aikman and Coach Johnson would agee with that hands down. :starspin

Even if I can see the moxie, he needs Super Bowl wins for me to even put him in the same sentence as those guys.

Oh, and it's Staubach with an H not a K.

My world was crushed circa 1972 when my dad broke it to me. His name was not Roger Starback.

Well now I understand why you usually stick to drive-by posting.

Completely deranged opinion aside, a thread titled "ROMO is the best QB in Cowboys history" and then saying "ROMO POTENTIALLY has the chance to out shine them all" later on in your post doesn't exactly sync up.

What?!!

Are you freaking nuts?! Aikman was one of the most accurate QB's there ever was...and he was consistant as ever.

Bingo - Aikman flat out might have been the most accurate passer I ever saw. The knock on him if any, was he threw a bad deep ball.
