well I am one of those, but it would be a maybe, or just a better chance of doing it.
14,16,18 were all years dallas had a good shot at going to a sb, but alas they had clapper as HC so it did not happen.
Tony would have given dallas a better chance of doing it is 16 , but that is all, no guarantee's

I think the new HC and staff give dallas another shot at going to sb this season. With dak or without him, they have a shot.
without? NOPE. Dalton is a huge upgrade over Rush, but lets not get silly. Dalton can be what Bernie Kosar was for us...a guy who can keep the mo going til the starter comes back. Andy was overdrafted...and never elevated the team.

I don't think so. Dallas needed a new direction and most importantly Tony needed to get the hell out of the game to save his back. He probably would have played until carried off the field, if given the chance.

Now he's sitting on Scrooge McDuck money and has his health.

the nail in his coffin was that brutal cheap hit he took in Seattle. Surprised he could move at all after that. Had that not happened,it would have at some point during the season.

Was I being sarcastic or was I being sensitive lol. By the looks of it me ripping on your affections for Romo triggered you

We arent going to be able to keep for weeks. You are way to boring and Ill move on. The only interesting thing you do is post that hashtag every post. Not interesting in a good way mind you. I just wanted to wave and say high. You want claim some internet victory then, but all means go ahead

Yeah of course, run off.

You quoted me, and exposed yourself. You came to defend Dak. You hate when anyone says anything that's not positive towards him.

Just stop sitting when you pee. You're a grown man, act like it.

Romo was getting really brittle.I don't have a beef with them sticking with Dak. Daks best trait is his durability. Romo was a tough SOB, make no mistake, but they felt it risky to go back to him at that point. Tony didn't exactly seem upset about it. He knew he was on his last legs I think. Lets be honest, I don't think he love dthe game anymore in the last couple years..I don't think it was fun for him at the end. He was ready to walk away and move on to his next gig. Dak is havin fun, loves the game and is loved by everyone on the team. Not that they didn't love Romo...It was a changing of the guard.
The brittle thing is a myth lol, and if tony had not got the big announcer offers, he would have played for another team.
The only reason he just quit was because cbs was making an offer too good to turn down.

You seem to have a fixation about peeing. Interesting.

Of course I mention, it's fascinating to me in a funny mind of way that you actually post that at the end of every postion. Ill at least credit you for being passionate, even if it is pretty pointless.

Who said I was running off now. In still having fun here. Im just saying I will get bored eventually

Also whats your deal with Jordan meme's. You go to that an awful lot

First, Tony didn't get hurt in 2015 or 2016 playing Washington, so you are stretching for something that doesn't apply to the circumstances we are talking about.

And second, where is the confirmation Jerry decided to force a player onto the field that the doctors did not clear to play? There would be a massive liability issue with that, and Jerry could literally be forced out as owner of the Cowboys if he were doing that. As such, you are going to have to cite more than a rumor to make that fit.
if jerry wants a guy cleared to play, he will be cleared. The power of being billionaire owner of cowboys gives him that power.
The guy has to also want to play and think he is good to go, for it to happen.
Nothing could ever be proven about whether he was really ok to play or not.
Only the doctor would know and it would be in his best interest to not say anything.

also the wash game was 2014 I think not sure though but I am sure others here remember that game and jerry coming down and getting
romo back in the game.

He only slightly lost control of the ball because it hit the ground along with his forearm when he was trying to reach for the goal line and it popped up into his upper forearm from which he soon after possessed it.

Even according to this rule, he caught it.

Wrong. You just described precisely why he didn't catch it. The ball can touch the ground but you have to maintain possession of the ball throughout. The ball actually leaves both his hands before he re-possesses it. As I said before, dead in the water by rule. Now you get it. And yes, those rules kick in for catches, otherwise, why are they even there if the main rule can apply to every situation? It can't which is why those other scenarios have to be described and enforced accordingly. Not understanding this is why people get fooled and immediately jump to conspiracy when it's really about knowing the mechanics of the rules. I told ya so before.

And of course the videos are not the same situations. Those videos were solely to demonstrate a proper lunge, which would have gotten Dez out of the going to the ground rule which by your own recounting makes his catch no good.

Thats the third time you told me to stop peeing sitting down lol. Once was bad enough. You went to it twice lol. You must be a Quaker or something, and the worst thing you are allowed.

Anyways, I'm bored with you.

Maybe Rockport will take me off ignore soon.

No, not wrong. a), b), and c) all visually apply to Dez. You want to assert that Item 1 overrides them. Nowhere does any part of the rule state anything about the latter overriding the former. Even if granted that it does, the item is there to determine if there is a doubt about possession established via player control through the act. It says nothing about the ball touching the ground being the cause for loss of control. It says if the player regains control before he touches the ground despite the ball touching the ground the pass is still complete. And if the ball supposedly leaves both his hands before he re-possesses it, that means he had possession, and therefore it can't be incomplete (it would be considered a fumble before the repossession, and the ground cannot cause a fumble even when a player is merely touched while going to ground). The point is to establish possession via control of the ball. The concept of football moves is there to reinforce the establishment of control which defines possession of the ball.

Everyone and their mother who has been watching football for years knows Dez caught it by every meaning of the term. The only way Dez didn't catch it is an interpretive dance around a rule that allowed it to be overturned, completely defeating the spirit of the rule.

It was time for Romo to leave for greener pastures......but for those that think it was him that was holding us back, he was clearly vindicated since his replacement hasn't taken us one step further than Romo did...........but demands to be paid like he has
I don’t think anyone believes it was HIM that was holding the team back. We just don’t believe he suddenly would have turned the team into sure bet while Dak is holding us back.

Agree. The only way Dak isn't our starting QB this season is if he holdsout.

The irony with that is that he's already been paid over $30m less than he's worth, and the holdout penalties will further reduce the monies he's earnt in his career.

Missing a season is likely to negatively effect his next contract as he'd be a year out of the game (and he's going to be 28 leading into the season).

…. Dalton a good pick up and the coaching staff would probably be more inclined to play him rather than Rush as a backup ( NB Eagles last December 2019).

Yes. We would have won several Super Bowls.
I take it this is tongue-in-cheek, yes?
We didn't and would never have won a Super Bowl with Tony Romo at the helm, a lot of his action packed video clips have glossed over the fact that he was a disaster waiting to happen. He's a nice guy and was a really good QB, unfortunately his calamities ultimately held him and the the team back.
