Good afternoon Pops and Popsadoodles. I'm sorry to hear about the down times, Gramma, Corso and Coachadoodles. I'm sorry about your momma, Corso. It's never easy but you are one of us, so feel free to talk about it if you like. Is it too late to wish you a Happy Birthday? I hope not. Gramma, I'm sorry about the memories giving you a rough time. Throw yourself into straightening things out. I wish I lived closer. I've got the twist ties and almost 300 ideas for storage and straightening. You'd just have to throw me out when you get tired.
That might be the worst part right? Admitting to ourselves that RW is the smartest one of us after all. That's an arse kicker for sure!
I'm afraid he's right.

I'm ashamed to admit to y'all what happened on Saturday. The man came out to install my new dishwasher and couldn't do it with a 6' hose, so I have to get a 10' hose. As he was leaving, my next door neighbor ran over to see what was going on. Geek Squad man asked who the Cowboy's fan was. Y'all know I'm going to throw my chest out with pride and chirp "I AM!". That's when things went south. He's an Eagles fan. WHAT??? I had an Eagles fan in my home? Inconceivable! My nosey neighbor said he's a 49ers fan. WHAT??? I'm surrounded by the enemy! I was sick to my stomach all day yesterday and so far today.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Pops and Everyone in Cowboy land,

We normally call our grandkids every Sunday afternoon - my son has a son and daughter and my daughter has two little girls. They range in ages from 4 to 11. Typically, when we call, it is the girls that want to talk. Our only grandson rarely speaks on the the phone. Occasionally, you will hear him in the background, but that is about it.

For what ever reason, he wanted to talk this past weekend. 45 minutes later, we finally said our goodbyes. That really made my weekend. Don't get me wrong, I love talking to the granddaughters, but having our grandson break out of his shell a bit was special.

On a different subject, we went out to dinner yesterday evening to our favorite local restaurant. We haven't visited them in probably 4 months. It was great to get out - felt like a family reunion - without the arguing, though :).

Hope your all doing well and making plans for a great 4th of July weekend. We are doing a picnic with neighbors and I am smoking a brisket, pork ribs and sausage. We won't go hungry.

Morning Pops and happy Twofer Tuesday and I wonder if they still make Doublemint gum? That was my Mom's favorite, I was a Juicy Fruit kid because I was a kid and then Fruit Stripe came along and I left Juicy Fruit in the dust. I always felt bad about my lack of allegiance to Juicy Fruit and wondered about the depth of my loyalty.

Well, unlike Colo, I didn't go out to my favorite restaurant because A, I don't have one and see no need for B-Z.

Things have returned to normal here, if you consider back in March/April normal. Hit the CVS and HEB yesterday and it was Bandit Day as everyone was in masks. I think they got the message that the New Normal should not have been like the Old Normal. Think we need to start redefining "normal"?

I made an adjustment in my thinking as I was out and about and this New Normal will last longer than I had anticipated and the CDC and WHO are both saying we haven't even seen the worst of this yet and there's been a new Swine Flu discovered in China, a derivative of the H1N1 and they're fearful it could go pandemic.

As a population, we are that kid in the back seat with the ever annoying "are we there yet" only we really don't know where "there" is yet. Strange and wondrous times, my friends, and you ask "wondrous" and I respond "oh yes, something so small can captivate this world and remind us of just how small we are". We will survive this too but I wonder "what will we learn"?

Agree, they open this back up, they'll be shoulder to shoulder back in the bars and restaurants will not be set up for distancing. They cannot do that and stay in business.

We have to face the ugly decision, business or health and unfortunately, business is directly related to health. They cannot punish the population for a bunch of careless young people that don't give a damn. Who raised them to act that way? The sins of the father might well be in the form of a virus.

Good morning Pops and Popsadoodles. Leon, is the ocean calling your name yet? It calls me several times a day. I changed internet browsers and they put up different pictures. If it doesn't have water in it, I hit the "not a fan" button. Today I hit it three times and they haven't gotten the hint yet.

That was a good report Montanalo. Maybe he's entering a new phase.

That's true sort of, maybe, I think a Steeler's fan was in the house once and I do hate me some Steelers. That one's deep seated in my DNA. Eagles hate has been since the Michael Irvin incident. 49ers is from the dark ages right after Jimmy Johnson left. Oh, Jimmy!

Coachadoodles, they still make Double Mint gum. I bought some recently. Juicy Fruit was delightful. Mommaw kept some in her purse for when we'd go to church. She also kept a pencil so I could draw on the bulletin. Those two things tamed this savage beast.
Very few will learn anything.
Careful, Runnystradomis! We're giving your words a lot more weight these days.

One more thing, I see where the EU opens it's borders but not to Americans. I never wanted to go until now. What is up with this forbidden fruit? I can resist anything but temptation.

Have a good Tuesday everyone.
They said that was coming when they saw how we handled the reopening. They saw those pics from bars, beaches and that idiot and his country concert. They also got as good a look at Britain and their beaches.

X girl, the unfortunate truth is the Asians and Europeans have more respect for their fellow citizens than we do and we celebrate freedom without responsibility. We are like Billy in "Gremlins", with freedom comes much responsibility and we are not ready yet. The first freedom is not to deny any other free person theirs and making them sick and contagious isn't freedom.

If you want a good look at how some view freedom, watch the video from the hearing in Palm Beach, FL about wearing masks. There are many more like those selfish "freedom fighters" out there. I have 0 faith in this country getting this under control without the authorities getting tough on ordinances and enforcement. We are not capable of policing ourselves.

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who stop in and decide to say hello today!

Colo, I 100% understand what you are saying in terms of your Grandboy. We have three right now and two of them talk all the time but the third doesn't. In fact, unless he talks to you, he is not really interested in talking at all. When he stops and decides he wants to do that, I pretty much drop everything and try to take it all in because you never know when the next time might be!

Coach, salty today................ Got an idea, try it with a Margarita! That might be the ticket for today. ;)

Well, which one are we today girl? Evil Xelda......

or Hot Xelda?

If your OK with not heading over to the EU, then Hot Xelda is the ticket. However, if you are intent on going to Europe, then Evil Xelda is the version I want jumping on the Broom! LOL..........

Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, I hope you are all doing well today. Short work week so it's all good. Think I'm gonna head over to the store today and buy some stuff for the 4th. You all be well today. Stay strong and be happy!

Everybody, please be safe, be confident in the fact that we will definitely get through this mess and above all, be happy in the little things. That's probably the biggest thing I've taken away from all this.

Peace.......

I for sure won't. Mandates are a bad idea. Yeah, they might curb what we see right now today, maybe, but where they go after that is the real problem. People have seen how these things happen and they are gun shy. I don't blame them. Anyhow, who you doing RW?
Who am I doing? Unfortunately, I'm not doing anyone...but that's not new or due to the pandemic. At least it had better not be due to the pandemic, or I'm gonna kick it's butt!
