And how about blaming the defense that is allowing the most points in the NFL?
This topic is offense....Zeke fumbles too much, and can't catch for shxt..doesn't seem to have the fire...

"he took a sack" now? Is that how far down you have to reach? How badly you have to lie to yourself in order to not see the truth?

And why not exactly? Because that means he's ultimately done his job and you don't like it and can't admit it?

Garrett's team couldn't win that division. But blind yourself to something else.

And you have to now resort to 'last year' because you've got nothing 'this year'. That's obvious.

I’m reverting to last year because the whole “it’s the defenses fault” argument hold less weight when you factor in Daks entire career. He had a good defense last year.... why couldn’t he win a bad division? Why did he come up short against a depleted eagles team for a playoff spot. We’re gonna put that entire thing on Garret?

You see on this board if you bring up negatives about dak your automatically a dak hater. I’m not.... I think he’s a good qb.

may question has always and will continue to be if he deserves 40 million dollars a year.

Blindly giving out huge contracts to players that don’t deserve them is why we’re an inferior team now. I just personally think if you look past the stats dak isn’t consistent enough to warrant that kind of contract.

I think it’s a reasonable question.

Also I’m referencing him taking a sack. Because with the clock moving it’s a terrible play that lacks awareness. I didn’t even bring up the int because the clock was running out.

Garrett was the head coach wasn't he?

Then you should have chosen your words more carefully, "serviceable" doesn't mean "good".

Then channel that frustration towards the NFL and the quarterback market, not at Dak because he's looking for money he's earning.

He's the one guy on this entire team earning his money. There are plenty of legitimate targets for criticism. This guy isn't one of them.

I don't at all. And we can talk about plenty of his contemporaries at the position for reasons as to exactly why it isn't.

I notice even here how the critics are forced to raise their bar, and now the only two quarterbacks they want to compare him to are Wilson and Mahomes, the very best in the game. That change also hasn't gone unnoticed. They're running out of things to complain about.

he wants to be paid like mahomes and Wilson. Why can he not be compared to them? He turned down 35 million a year. He’s essentially saying I’m as good as those guys.

I’m arguing he’s not. He’s beat one winning team in his last 20 games. We blame the coaching.. we blame the defense. When does the quarterback get blame? So it’s never going to be his fault? As long as he puts up stats.

With the dumpster fire that is our defense you want to hate on Dak? All three levels of our defense look like dog poo and you want to take a shot at the guy who just threw for 500 yards and 4 tds?

Dude, Dak is not perfect by any means but he’s a good quarterback. He is not the reason we are 1-3. If we had a average defense we’d be 3-1 because of Dak.

I’m sick of the Dak hate.
You can't say we'd be 3-1 for, sure. Who knows. I mean the offense doesn't seem to get it really clicking until down by multiple scores so how do you know if the game is close they don't still lose like week 1?

When’s he’s doing his part, you can’t blame him. And he is! About as well as anyone.

You want to bring up wins but then leave out the other factors as if it’s all on one guy. It isn’t.

Parts of this fan base have a pathological hatred for the QB . The same completely irrational cherry picking stats occurred with Romo as well. It’s unbelievable . We deserve 10 straight years of Quincy Carter to get the message across that the QB now and when Romo was leading the team wasn’t the issue .

It's my opinion everyone shares blame. Some more than others. There are times Dak could do better extend the plays and sustain drives.

(now remember...some people aren't just talking about the last four games. He mentioned the last 20(?)...or beating winning teams. )

"About as well as anyone"...is a pretty low bar at this juncture.

I think saying "he's the issue"....is a bit off base. But also saying "don't criticize Dak"....is...off base as well. He deserves every bit of fair criticism as anyone else.

I know.....I know! Key word is "fair" right?

I could be wrong but his comment about playing as well as anyone I don't think was relative to the Cowboys I think he's saying in the NFL in general.

More like Dak is trying to carry it, he isn't able to. We saw this experiment in the past when Dez was released and we started the season with no real #1 WR - 4 games in and we traded for Cooper. It was also the season where Zeke was suspended to start the season. We all saw clearly that Dak didn't have the ability to carry this team - even on a temporary basis. Teams would stack the box because they knew that Prescott wasn't likely to beat them with his arm - nothing has changed.

Oh.

How many points per game is this offense putting up?

Oh that's right..he's definitely carrying it. Lol

Well, he's been driving us to the toilet bowl pretty much every year.
So you're content with his driving abilities?
From 8-8 we are currently 1-3 and headed for another at best 8-8 season.
Dak is a GREAT driver!!!!!:banghead:

How many points are we putting up per game?

You think our historically bad defense might have something to do with the Ws and Ls?

Lol..I swear we have the dumbest fans.

1-3
3 ints, 2 of which were game over picks
3 fumbles
at least 6 other passes that should have been picks...

serviceable
The Packers were 6-9-1 with Rodgers a few years ago. Was Rodgers a bad QB at that point, or is there maybe more that goes into wins and losses than just the QB? Does maybe having a defense that gives up more points than any other defense in the NFL play a part?

1 INT was a Hail Mary, and another the receiver cut the route short, and 2 of the fumbles were strips while attempting to throw the ball, which is really the blocking not keeping the pocket intact.

Granted Dak has got away with a few passes that could have been picked, but every QB has passes That could have been picks. Some seem to think these kinds of things are unique to Dak, but over 4 years picks have not been a big problem with Dak, so that puts things in perspective.

The topic was Dak (Not Zeke), and the intent was to point fingers in the wrong direction. Yes, Zeke has fumbled too much, and the offense needs to stop the early turnovers, but exaggerating and sensationalizing with terms like “garbage” and “trash” to describe Dak is not an attempt at fair and reasonable discussion. Dak has his flaws, but rather than discuss those fairly some prefer to make a drama out of it..
