For me I am suffering from Jones family death grip on the franchise along with 25 consecutive seasons of ground hogs day when it comes to the on field success of the franchise. Tough to get excited or upset about much when it comes to this team anymore.
exactly! lol
So I guess we could be called JF "Death Grip" fans , or JFDG fans for short.
Them jones boys done wore me out! So yeah I am a JFDG fan!

If @aria can stick it out after Zeke's contract, why can unnamed detractors do the same? Isn't this about the Cowboys Team????
I like Dak and Zeke, we overpaid for both, in my opinion......still a fan and still want to win.
Salud!
Grace....

I just don’t really care at this point.

Jones’s sold out to mediocrity and being relevant.. They know they did too and fans applauded them while they did it.

I’ll just wait a few years before I can start to believe again I guess.
That's all that matters to Jerry. He knows he overpaid, but there will be a lot of Dak fans buying his jersey. Jerry will blow smoke and convince the fans the Cowboys are going to win a superbowl like he has for the last 25 years. The circus continues.

They always really like their team don’t they.

Another offseason of them conducting business the exact same way it looks too and expecting anything different.

You responded to my post so figure it out. Not here to argue but I'm also not here to baby sit you. Don't be a jackwagon.

what?? Dude are you senile? I quoted Catch. You responded to my quote. I responded to you. You asked me a strawman questions about showing you where you said we would be terrible. I wasn’t talking to you, so of course I couldn’t show you that quote. Where is the disconnect?

*Maybe he harbors some ill will from an apparent past transgression towards you or perhaps it's yer' chosen utilization of that avatar yer' sporting as I'm not all that certain but I think I'm feeling the groundswelling beginnings of some subconsciously deep-seated roots of animosity towards it myself,,, strange:huh:

I didn’t jump up and down for joy when Dak got hurt.

Immediately after the Giants game I posted this..

You make crap up all the time about things people say and anyone that takes anything you say as credible just hasn’t had to deal with your strawman BS yet.

smoke screen for your joy. After that you went ballistic with excitement on all the things dalton was going to do for the team better than dak. You were rooting for us to win meaningless games.

dak gets resigned and your completely depressed. Pathetic.

will their excuses be any more creative then they have been?

There's no point.

The whole "we will be bad b/c of Dak" narrative only plays out a couple of ways. 1) We aren't good - blame Dak. 2) We are good - shoehorn reasons why they are good despite Dak..."yea but he couldn't do it in 2019 without a run game durrrrrrr, "the schedule is easy because the division is bad durrrrr," or "they lucked into Aaron Rodgers being old durrrrrr."

It's pre-determined narrative.

Nobody is ever going to come out and say "I was wrong for blatantly ignoring or discrediting stats that proved Dak was worth the contract," " because it's an admission of not having any credibility.

Jerry can't build a team. We know that. He can't do it with Dak on his rookie deal, he cant do it with Dak on this deal. He could not do it with Romo either. He just can't do it and has shown no signs of figuring out his mistakes. The only hope was for a star QB the likes of Mahomes to take cover the inadequacies that Jones always seems to have in the team.

While I think Dak is a good QB, I don't think he has the ability to make up for those shortcomings which will even be more now that Jerry gave away a big chunk of the cap. It is just the reality of it all.

What's hilarious is that the Dak humpers think that signing a contract is some sort of win for them. FYI, he's the only one getting the money, not you, and paying him doesn't mean anything on the field. Nothing has changed.

We all knew Jerry would sign Dak because he and his son don't have a single other idea. They lucked into Romo and and screwed that up. Then they lucked into Dak when they failed to trade up to draft Paxton Lynch or Connor Cook like they wanted to, and they're not about to guess on quarterbacks again.

We've watched Jerry slobber over Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, and Drew Henson like they were the second coming. We watched Parcells have to explain to Jerry why Hutch was a loser and needed to be cut, and why Henson wasn't an NFL quarterback. Parcells identified Romo, who Jerry paid no mind to.

We've watched Jerry pay huge contracts to quarterbacks that he didn't even want out of college, or even when they first got here.

This franchise is run by inbred drunken hillbillies who loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly. Football isn't really their thing.

I can understand that thought. I've always seen Alex Smith as an average starter. Good enough to keep your team competitive, but not someone that can turn the tide. We've seen Dak carry this team and think he is measurably better at this career stage than Alex Smith was. To this point I wouldn't consider Dak as a top 5 passer in the league, but may have been trending there if he he stayed healthy last year. For now I still think he's top 10. I don't think Alex Smith ever came close to sniffing that ranking.
When has Dak carried this team? If anything, it has been totally the opposite. It took Cooper being brought in and Zeke leading the league in rushing for Dak to become anything more than a below average starter. He requires a better supporting cast to have any success than any QB in team history.

Jerry and a lot of fans have zero confidence in scouting QBs and developing them to the point where he paying $40 million a year out of fear that he can’t find another QB which makes me wonder why he is wasting money on scouting and player development.

Did you watch the first 5 games last season? Dak was one of the few bright spots and kept the Cowboys in those games. Yes he had a few turnovers but Dak kept us competitive. He was also in the MVP discussion at that point. All pretty telling.
